The waitress put a cup of ice water in front of my 1 year old who grabbed it and it spilled all over her and the table, then she asked us if we needed a rag to clean it....I was like..umm yeah... the food took a while to come out we ordered 2 pizzas but I'm sure it's because it was handmade to order. The burnt parts tasted like burnt parts. ..but the non burnt parts were very good. The table next to us had No burnt parts..lucky them....

Get off the main road and enjoy some amazing wood fired pizza

Best around? Pricey but delish!

Cute hidden gem. Outside seating under big trees with areas for kids to wander and play. Pizzas take a while so make sure to get there before you are hungry. Staff was great! Chef seems to forget things is my only complaint… missed out on my kids dinner but luckily he was already full off of appetizers. Love the chill atmosphere… no pressure to eat and move on

Came in to pick up a pizza and this is what I got. Uncooked pizza. Doughy. Floppy. No crisp crust at all. And when I tasted it, there was no passion. As a fellow owner of multiple businesses in boerne, I can tell this owner has a passion for food. The ingredients here are top notch. So I was disappointed that this is the results the chefs had brought out to me the first time. Sometimes the owners of businesses lack vision or care for what is the heart of their business. The heart of this place is the food. The ingredients. While I am thankful they replaced my pizza, it's still a disappointment to go through this and even the second replacement was still undercooked a bit. Not left in the fire long enough. Hopefully they will do better next time.

Nice location and atmosphere...very kid friendly also. The pizza is similar to most places in Texas....someone takes a trip to Italy and they think they are an expert pizza maker. So they open a pizza place and make something that resembles an Italian pizza. Pizza looks good and might smell OK but the quality just is not there at all. Not trying to trash this restaurant but just want to inform the public about 2-3 experiences that I have had. Great marketing/bad food has become a real issue these days unfortunately. I have noticed a pattern of restaurants in Boerne starting out well with great food and then going downhill. I don't know if this is due to cutting costs or losing a good cook. I have a hunch it is cutting costs. Z's has a great pizza oven and I think is located in one of the best places around Boerne. I don't remember what else is on the menu besides pizza so there might be some really good dishes. Like I said I am not trying to deter people from going to Z's I myself might even go there again as I really like the location but just be aware that there are better pizzas out there.

Cool looking place. Disappointing though. No heart & soul in this place. Shell of a restaurant. Wait staff — very slow. Customer service is lost on this place. There is hope for Z’s. Could do a lot with the outdoor space. Infuse a sense of customer service and things would be much better. The salad was weak, to put it lightly. $9.20 for 99% lettuce. Won’t be back but will hope for the best for Z’s ownership. You can do it!

If I could give it a negative 1 I would. Went in and was somewhat waited on by Spencer. There 2 other tables that came 7 minutes after us and they got their drinks, appetizers before we got our drinks, which we ordered BEFORE they sat down. We had not plates, silverware. They even got their appetizers and salads before we got our drinks. I don’t want to pull the race card but it was clear that our server Spencer did not want to serve us as we are Latino. He didn’t talk to us much. Ignore us. We left.

Lunch was delicious! I got a pesto pizza and my husband got a normal pizza, and both were great. We got to try a San Antonio brand soda, which was really cool to see available. This place was huge outside with plenty of seating for busier times or big parties. I liked our cozy nook toward the back of the restaurant where the lighting was really nice. Everyone we interacted with was friendly and nice. We are a huge fan of the service and the pizza here.
