We love eating at Peggy's on the Green. Their food is delicious and we love the atmosphere. We go there often but was disappointed in that our favorite waitress Laura is no longer there. She was the best there and everyone else falls short, but still nice. It just wasn't the same when we went this weekend. They need to hire her back so we can get the best service we had with her! For this we give 4 stars. Oh, and for those that haven't been it's a very pricey place.
Recently visited this restaurant for the first time to celebrate our Anniversary. Excellent service and amazing food. You can eat inside or outside on the patio. Well stocked bar and they take reservations. Can be both a casual dining experience or a more formal setting. Highly recommend this hidden gem in Boerne!
Being from out of town, we were told by friends to experience Peggy’s on the Green. Last night we decided it’s where we wanted to celebrate a birthday but upon arrival without reservations discovered it was extremely busy and a 2 hour wait. As we were leaving, we ran into Trevor the restaurant manager, for another restaurant recommendation. He told us to give him a few minutes and he would see what he could do for us~party of 4. Surprised and excited we were seated within minutes.Trevor~thank you again for making this experience possible…..! The ambiance and food was nothing short of PHENOMENAL. From cocktails to appetizers then our main entree, amazing….!Hunter was our waiter and he was spot on with his service. We appreciate the evening and highly recommend this restaurant.
We were in Boerne for the second time this week. Ate in bar. Wonderful service. Hubby had pork chop. I had baked potatoe & crab dip - which was short on crab.
Pork chop was excellent. Fried green tomatoes, man! Awesome! Great service. Been in boerne over 40 years. Don't eat out much. This place I'll remember and definitely go back. Highly recommend this place. All i can say is wow!!
Decided to try Peggy's for a special occasion and they made a great day better. Wonderful service, amazing food, and knowledgeable wait staff made the whole experience very special. It is a more casual atmosphere compared to their other restaurant, Bohanans, but the quality is very much on par! Would absolutely go back for a memorable experience again.
Our first impression was poor as we were blown off by the hostess, but the food and server, Emily, were 5 star excellent! Made reservations 3 days prior and arrived 25 minutes before reservation. The place was empty, but hostess said our table wasn't ready, so asked us to wait in the bar and she would come and get us or text me. 40 minutes later, I went to the hostess, who was loudly laughing and flirting with another employee and asked if our table was ready and she said, WHO ARE YOU? Then she fumbled around and said, I think your table is ready and we were seated. Our first impression of Peggy's was of disappointment and dismay, so now we are skeptical on our decision to choose Peggy's for our celebration evening. Our doubts were quickly subsided when Emily stepped to our table. What a PROFESSIONAL! Very attentive and personable. Hubby, forever a ribeye eater, declared his 13oz ribeye was one of the best steaks in his life! My double pork chop was excellent! Loved-loved-loved the unique country olive salad. Finished off with a slice of carrot cake - yummy! For those wondering, as we did, on attire, well, we saw just about everything, from coat and tie, to tees, shorts and flip-flops! Hey...its the Hill Country!
The food was very good. Our waiter, Walter, was great. He was very personable and attentive. Had a great sense of humor. I had asked for a certain sauce for my entre. They didn't have any in the kitchen so he used the ingredients needed and made the sauce for me.
We had dinner for the first time in the restaurant a few days ago. Our waiter Diego provided us with absolutely the mos professional waiting experience we have received in recent memory. He was extremely courteous, knew the menu, very attentive. He made us feel as if we were the most important guest. Very impressive waiter!
Went on my birthday last year before the “freeze” and loved it. Food was great, and cool atmosphere. I’m happy to go this year for my birthday and make it a tradition. I’m very picky and not easily impressed and this is a hidden jem.
