I came out for the House Burger and I was BLOWN away!!! The food was amazing, the staff is awesome….I’ll be back, again and again and again!!! Thank you Boerne Taco House!

We saw this place decided to stop in for lunch. They haven't been open very long. It is located right on Main St. at River Rd. at the bridge area and parking in front is dicey getting out for the traffic. There is parking on the side lot but we couldn't turn in due to the traffic so parked a block away and walked over. The place was BUSY and only a couple of tables available. We were not greeted but walked up to the counter and waited for someone to appear. There was no signage to order here that we saw. We asked if we sit down or order and were told we order at the counter. They have paper menus and the top one on the stack was obviously used as it was dirty and wrinkled. The menu is not your typical Tex-Mex type food. Not sure the name of the fare here but guessing street tacos or something that appeals to a younger crowd. Really not sure. We ordered Shrimp Street Tacos ($11) and Espadas Plate ($15) and two ice teas. The drinks are self serve and they have self serve plastic ware. The place is not very large. The pricing seemed a bit high for the type venue it is but thought we see how the visit went before deciding. Well, after we sat for about 15 minutes, someone came by and dropped off chips and two sauces. The chips was warm and crisp but the orange colored sauce was not flavorful and the green sauce had some flavor--all HOT/SPICY. The noise level was way up there since they have high metal panel ceiling and the acoustics are bad. After 35 min. we finally got our food and one plate was served before the other arrived several minutes later. Each plate had three open face tacos. The shrimp was tiny but a good portion and they had some seasoning on them and topped with chopped onion and cilantro on corn tortillas. The Espadas were terrible, half cold and you could see and taste the caking grease from the ground meat. The menu indicated your choice of meat BUT I wasn't given any options. They had lettuce, tomato and sliced avocado on top. It appeared they had been sitting a while before being brought out. Neither plate was worth the price either in portion or quality in our opinion not to mention the venue and ambiance doesn't warrant the pricing either. Water and ice were spilt on the floor and staff was told but they were not concerned with cleaning it up very quickly either. Tourists might enjoy this but we won't be back and we'd suggest going elsewhere if you want true Tex-Mex food.
Delicious, authentic Mexican food! We love the food, staff, and setting. One of the best gems in Boerne. Volveremos!
I love this place! I got out surgery yesterday and the first thing I wanted were some street tacos fromHere! I also love the al pastor ones! Try them! You will love them!

Tacos were very delicious and large portioned. Staff was friendly and food came out quickly. Great for a quick lunch stop. Will come back to try the breakfast tacos!
Great atmosphere, enchilada Verdes, and bottled table sauce. Need to work on rice (no flavor), beans (tasted like canned) and greasy tortilla chips. I feel $18 is a lot for lunch and a tea however if everything is fantastic people will come.
