Nothing exciting and a little pricey. The food was good, but nothing really unique, at least for what we had. The fries are really good though, they taste almost old fashion. The environment is neat and I love the old building they renovated and added too. The server was ok, had repeat a few times and our meal came out wrong, but not too bad.
Excellent food. The owners were extremely friendly, WAITED on you personally. Food was great. I had the Fiesta burger which stated would be spicy. I guess I'm so used to very spicy foods, this wasn't. Even though it had jalapeños, I couldn't taste them.I give them 4 stars for very friendly. If it hadn't been so busy they'd probably get 5 stars.
We had a great experience. The Philly Cheese Steak was great. The onion rings were fantastic. The Boerne Burger and Blacksmith Burger were hits too. Good location. A little pricy. Friendly staff. Wax super busy so service was a little slow. The fries were basic. Recommend.
I’m all about trying new places and experiencing different restaurants besides the major chains. But, I was disappointed. I went here with my 2 kids, and my friend and her 2 kids. The counter looks like you can walk up to the register and order but the greeter handed us menus and said we were welcome to take a seat. The young man took so long to come over to us that I said maybe I heard her wrong and started walking back up to the counter to order. The waiter saw me and said he was coming over right now. Okay, so We ordered at the same time and my families food came out about 10-15 minutes before my friends families! We also did not receive our drinks. Only the tea and the kids water, I had to once again get up and go find out waiter after sitting there eating our food for about 10 minutes. The fries were good, onion rings tasted a little different With the seasoning they put on them. Didn’t mind it on the fries but it just didn’t feel right with the onion rings. Burger was okay, bun was cold. My friend said her fries were cold when she got her food. And what’s strange is they put my daughters loaded fries in a basket on her tray but my friends loaded fries just on her tray so the size had some disparity.
Great grill.The food was delicious. The service was exceptional. We were attended to quickly. We had a large party and were accommodated in comfortable seating. We received our food very quickly.Everything tasted delicious. Our favorites were the loaded fries and the Philly cheese steak sandwich.Great atmosphere! Great service! Great food!So glad that we checked it out!
Food was good. Burger was overcooked slightly but that's more my preference than lacking attention to detail. The fries are seasoned well and the staff is super friendly. Milkshakes are good and they partner with the local sweets shop for a "dessert of the day", which is a clever idea. Worth stopping in for a bite if you're in the area.
Blacksmith grill is amazing! I had the pulled pork sandwich on a gluten free bun with fries- everything was great, especially the fry seasoning! They are able to accommodate for celiac with a gluten free bun and have a dedicated fryer for their fries. They have a fun menu with Philadelphia-style options that brings some variety into the traditional burger place in Texas. Wonderful atmosphere and kind staff!
I'm all for supporting small businesses but this place was extremely over priced! The servers were very young. Not experienced at all to answer, what were not hard, questions. They were very nice and respectful though!As for my meal...there was very little meat on my chopped brisket sandwich and when served it was cold. I would go back and give them another try but would make sure to have an adult assist us with our order.
I'm sorry, but this one of the worst eating establishment in Boerne!The hamburger i ordered was the worst burger i have ever had. The meat had no flavor and besides the pattie was hard and way over cooked!It had no lettuce, I thought all burgers came with it! Waited to ask our server to please bring me some and she forgot! I had to remind her again. We also had to ask for utensils and napkins. We weren't provided with any.My friend's Philly cheese steak sandwich the worst Philly steak he had ever eaten! The onion rings were greasy and and gross!Unfortunately, we will not be going back.No comparison to the food the former establishment Soda Pops had ! No way!We loved going there on a weekly basis.What a disappointment!Sorry guys! Only speaking the truth!Our friends have said the same thing about how bad this place is and won't be going backFair warning folks! Don't waste your time or money there!
This place is great! Loved our server, I think her name was Grace. She was very attentive and made sure we were pleased. I had the turkey burger and it was great! Hubby had the Blacksmith Burger and he said it was fantastic! We shared the fried pickles! They make them themselves making it even better! Definitely will be back and will try something new!
