Cute little bakery! It smelled delicious when I walked in they have the cutest pastries. I was there for lunch, had the Swiss ham & cheese on a baguette. Bread was fresh and delicious. Definitely going back.
The food was very good, but we have a caution. They did not serve my husband's biscuits and gravy on a plate. It was rather awquard eating gravy and biscuits on a waxed paper napkin. I asked for a plate and was told the plates are reserved for the pastry to sit on. Strange that display was a higher priority than the the customer request.
The staff was very friendly and helpful! My wife enjoyed their blackberry lavender tea, and the apple pie was amazing. Seating outside was a little loud along Main, but peaceful on the side road across from A Little Nature Store.
Best apple pie I've ever had! And everything we've eaten there has been excellent! Loved the small town feeling of this place! Friendly service and delicious food!
All the food was excellent but fully priced. Would have given it five stars but after spending $45 for three people for breakfast, they wanted to charge for a refill. Not cool.
This is the only place in town where you can find a latte that is consistently delicious, 12/10! Over the years I have tried almost everything on their menu and they have never disappointed. Plus the staff are always welcoming and friendly!
Beautiful display of goodness. The blueberry muffins so soft and packed with blueberries. The banana muffins with a crunchy top one of the best we have. Great service. Easy back parking.
This is NOT a family-friendly place. Today I was in this bakery to consider buying one of their over-priced muffins for my 9-year old daughter. Their hand-sanitizer is by the cash register (not by the door), so my daughter went toward the cash register to get some hand sanitizer, and to look at the muffins in the display case (isn't that what you do at a bakery?). And the manager of the bakery literally yelled at her for getting too close to another customer at the register! She was about 2 feet away from that customer when she was getting the hand sanitizer. He told her to get out of the way, and he rudely and sarcastically said to us, "Why do you think we put those dots on the ground 6 feet apart?" It doesn't matter to him that my daughter and I are both vaccinated (which we are). No matter that none of their staff was wearing a mask (the manager himself was not wearing a mask). Apparently he is convinced that the only way to prevent Covid is to stand on their ridiculous dots on the ground. God forbid a child should want to look at the display case and sanitize her hands. All he needed to say to my daughter, was "Excuse me, little girl, would you please stay with your parent?" Maybe consider putting hand-sanitizer by the door. But don't ever yell at someone's child for innocently standing too close to another customer if you want the business of families! We confirmed with one of their employees that it was indeed the store manager that yelled at us. The employee looked like she was ashamed to admit it. How demoralizing it must be to work there! That manager may not value children, but I bet he values his business, and I am going to encourage everyone to go to elsewhere. Even HEB has better muffins that are way less expensive.
I hadn't visited in several years, but the bakery is still a 10! They have changed the entrance and exit which makes it much easier to get in and out without bumping into customers going both directions. They still have a few seats inside and it's still a great place for food and friends!
We visit Bear Moon weekly, every Saturday morning and sometimes more than once a week. It is a fantastic experience even walking up to the wonderful smelling store. The pastries (all of them), granola, smoothies etc. . . Are all VERY good. Every last thing we have tried is excellent. Highly recommend Bear Moon to anyone and everyone.
