Don't leave your food unattended! I had gone to the bathroom with half my plate left and when I came back they had already cleared the table! they left my to go cup and my sunglasses, which I left behind to signify that I was still there. when I went to the cashier it was apparent that they knew that they had cleared my table prematurely but didn't offer to make it right, I was still charged full price for a plate that I didn't get to finish. I'll never go back there again and that's a shame because it was my favorite restaurant.
All I have to do is say "Finally!" I am from Midland, TX, which is in west Texas, where we have hundreds of amazing Mexican food restaurants. Unfortunately I have been in Central Texas for almost 3 years, and have tried almost every Mexican food place we could find. None ever even came close until now. MI Pueblo is 1000% better than anyone else in the area even claims to be. I hope many that are having the same issue as my family and I did see this. Look no further, this is the place.P. S. THEY ALSO K OW THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN CLASSICAL MEXICAN AND TEX MEX. They even distinguish between the two on the menu. I know, I was shocked too.
We check Trip Advisor when we travel to be places because these reviews are always spot on! This was again the case with driver at Mi Pueblo. We ordered beef and chicken fajitas. They were prepared correctly, arriving at the table on sizzling skillet on a bed of caramelized onions and green bell peppers. It was a huge amount of food, all perfectly seasoned, cooked and served. It is a small restaurant, but clearly a local favorite for good reason. We will be stopping back by on our way through on Thursday!

My wife and I are pretty picky about Mexican food, and this was a good one. Portions were large but not out of control, the flavor was on point, wait staff was all very personable, and the beer was cold. The music was a little loud which made wrangling our kids while we were there a little challenging. Otherwise nothing to knock them on.
We stopped in with high expectations based on the reviews, and plans changed quickly. We were attempting to park, and a man was chatting with a female in an SUV, blocking the only empty spot in the lot. After waiting several minutes, I lightly honked thinking they didn’t see that I was there, and it escalated rapidly from there. The male stared in disgust, and then climbed on to the vehicles step rails to continue his conversation for several minutes longer. The man finished his conversation and then postured himself as if he wanted to try and fight. We attempted to exit the parking lot, and the man began moving towards our vehicle in an overly aggressive manner. The worst part is, he came from inside, and went back inside; it almost appeared he was an employee. Never again!!!
Mexican food is a comfort food for me. I am rather judgmental when a salsa can't be made well. I have no complaints with Mi Pueblo. The two salsas they delivered to the table had a fresh and warm homestyle feel. The fajita beef was flavorful, plentiful and tender in my Texas burrito. Wife loved her taco salad. Overall, a terrific experience and excellent service. I will definitely return.
First time we been there. All the food and drinks looked and tasted delicious!!! Restaurant was full and we didn't wait long for the food to come out. The seven of us all liked a lot everything we orderd. Everything looked clean. Love the restaurant! 100% will visit again next time we come back to visit our family in Killeen.
From the house special to wife's poblano peppers with sour cream sauce.. amazing!!! Best tasting mexican food we have ever had!!
