Food was excellent atmosphere was excellent I requested to be seated by window and we were.

Excellent brunch, wonderful atmosphere. Highly recommend.

I thought it would be a decent place to eat but overall the service wasn’t bad. The food was barely warm and I was told there was no gumbo which was what I was looking forward to, so that kinda upset me. Then I get shrimp and grits. Realizing I have to dig in the grits to peel the tails off the shrimps. I don’t really see the point of digging in a soup but if they were fried I wouldn’t have minded. Drinks weren’t amazing but they weren’t horrible. Waitress was understanding. Was looking for a date night with my fiancée but probably won’t recommend to a friend or family. Was not impressed with service or the food. More bummed that I wasted my time thinking it was decent. I’m new here so it kinda put a bad taste in my mouth

The view from the patio was great! Food was good, and our server, Christina, was fantastic! I wish that other (so many other) people would realize that flimsy cover-ups over bathing suits isn't considered "business casual."

Made Reservations with a "special request noted" which was not addressed, and the service was a bit slow but it was fairly busy. But other than that: the food is 100% worth its' cost and tastes GREAT! Love the shrimp tacos! And this place has an outstanding view and ambiance to it.

The food was a little slow to come out but excellent. Our server had a wonderful attitude and was very friendly

Food was very good server was very attentive. Planning a return in the evening.

We drive up from Austin on occasion and meet my daughter who lives in Waco. Dead Fish Grill is located on the main basin of Lake Belton. Beautiful setting. Great views and a standard menu with lots of options. Some better than others. The Sunday Brunch menu was a little disappointing but there other choices such as fried cat fish, burgers, shrimp and so on are great Just a very nice, scenic laid back experience.

Our first visit and it was very enjoyable. The buckets of friend and boiled shrimp were amazing. But, I got fish tacos and they were a joke. It was basically just a tortilla. There was a 1 1/2 inch piece of blackened fish and a little pick on top. So not worth the money. The dirty rice was excellent though. I should have sent it back but we were hot and didn’t want to wait for anything else. The other best part of the night was our waiter Cody. He was excellent and a hard worker!

Outside tables are a winner to view the lake while dinning.
