Gabe and the Godspeed crew make some of the best barbecue I’ve ever had. They also crush it on Tuesday’s when they make smash burgers at Turning Point Beer in Bedford. Regardless of who or where, I would put these people against any other barbecue restaurant out there, and honestly it’s that much better that you can grab some at a brewery because the beer pairing is second to none. If you haven’t tried them before, stop in to Turning Point Beer on a Tuesday or Friday night, you won’t be disappointed!
Turning Point is one of our favorite breweries in the DFW area and we make it a point to to stop in anytime we are in the area visiting family. Having visited breweries across the US, one thing that is usually lacking in quality 99% of the time is food. I am not sure how long Godspeed has been serving up their delicious BBQ at Turning Point but the brewery should do everything they can to retain them. Godspeed has some of THE BEST brisket I have ever had in my life. It was melt in your mouth good and the bark was perfection. They have bbq sauce available but this is one of those times you should let the meat speak for itself and savor the flavor of it on its own before you douse it in sauce. I promise you will thank me later for this. Also, the beans were FANTASTIC!!! I can understand if y’all don’t want to share the recipe but they were some of the best beans I have ever had! We were hoping to find some fantastic BBQ on our visit and decided to end our at at Turning Point. Who knew we would find some of the best BBQ we have ever had in our entire lives??? The family that runs it is super friendly too. Shout out to the owner’s Dad who was so kind and generous with his time chatting us up! Y’all—we served Godspeed BBQ at a special family event on Saturday and everything was phenomenal!!! The brisket, pulled pork, ribs were perfection. The sides were sooo good too! Mac-n-cheese and rice were big hits! Five
The brisket was SO tender, pinto beans were full of flavor, and the texas twinkies were delicious!! Staff were super friendly and make some awesome BBQ!! If you haven't tried Godspeed BBQ, you need to!
They catered my friends wedding and my wife and I loved all of the food. Especially the Mac and cheese and their spooky turkey!!
I got to try the brisket, spooky Turkey, texas twinkies and the mac and cheese. Everything was absolutely delicious, the spooky Turkey is really something special. Don't change a thing, I highly recommend
