Different location than usual and still a good choice. Good food and service through the line. Slight hiccup with combining dine in and to go order on one ticket, but it was resolved well shortly. Hot rolls every few minutes are somehow very soothing. Bluebell ice cream on Sundays is pure joy. Biweekly visits through monthly should keep the magic up and the budget down.
EDIT: When I originally posted this review, it was a simple 4 Star review with no comment. If I had left a comment, it probably would have been something like, "Good BBQ for the price." And would have left it like that. But then something interesting happened.Within an hour of me posting my simple uncritical review with no words, I got a response from the owner thanking me for my review and inviting me to return. In that moment I felt very appreciated. It also took me back to earlier that evening and I remembered how nice, kind, and attentive every member of the staff was, even though it was quite busy in the restaurant. I remembered my eight year old daughter just over the moon about her ribs and saying she wanted to have her birthday party there. I remembered my four year old son munching happily on his brisket and gleefully trying everything we put in front of him. I remembered seeing my wife across the table with her brisket sandwich topped high with extra pickles and onions and smiling at me. I remembered a pleasant family dinner. When I saw that comment from the owner, I knew the appreciation of our visit and the invitation to return was genuine, because I experienced it during our meal. For all those reasons I knew I needed to elevate this review to five stars.Spring Creek Barbeque is a good place to eat.
Came in for a business meeting. I ordered the pulled pork with mac n cheese, & green beans. The gentlemen serving the meats insisted on trying a sample of the pork before ordering. Just made me want it more. Great food. Great staff. Definitely coming back.
Way overpriced for what you get. Not very customer friendly either.Food was just ok but for the price your thinking way better.
It's way too expensive for the quilt of food. I got a okra basket 5.95 to go. There wasn't enough for 2 people! I saw a young man take a basket of okra to a table of 4. let's just say they got their money worth!! And if you want potatoe salad they charge you an extra 2.95! And the root beer was flat. For 3 of us it was about 70 bucks! I'd rather go to Texas Road House. 3 grown ups and we spend about 51 bucks and get better food and service!! The employees need to practice their customer service skills. They weren't very friendly. A bunch of kids running it!! They need to talk it up.. Sell more food and dessert like that. We won't be back!!!
Walked in about 12:45 on a weekday. Staff welcomed warmly. Ordered 1/2 bbq chicken, potato salad, bbq beans, sweet tea. The chicken was enough to share. Beans & potato salad are not exceptional but are still good. One of the best things is the fresh baked hot yeast rolls brought right to your table straight from the oven. Although I did not order any there is cobbler & Blue Bell homemade vanilla ice cream. The facility appeared clean & staff friendly & helpful. Would recommend.
I was so excited to use the free party room for my baby shower! I had it booked for at about 2 months for about 40 guests, and my family frequently uses the room for our get togethers (pre and post C19). The issue was that they decided to use the party room as a storage area. There were boxes, cups, and other materials for the restaurant taking up multiple tables and were stacked more than half way up to the ceiling (a hazard in my opinion). At first the employees said they would move everything, then the manager said it wasn't possible. It was so embarrassing. I ended up having my baby shower in their storage area!! It was even more infuriating that the manager lied to me, he said that they had been using this area for storage for years - which is not true. My family has used this exact room at least twice in the last 2 years and it was definitely not used as a storage room. If they had just communicated with me, I would have planned around it by getting some kind of pipe and drape to cover up the boxes. It was just very disappointing on quite a few levels. Thank goodness the food is awesome.
We got takeout and it took forever to get. When we asked if it was ready, the girl said she didnt take our order so she didn't know. We asked her to check, she started rolling silverware, answered the phone and didn't help us. She was very rude. When we got our food it was very good. Very disappointed in the lack of customer 3.
Ribs undercooked and dry.I have a feeling the brisket and ribs I ordered were leftovers from the previous day. Certainly not even close to being worth what I paid.
Love the turkey and fresh bread rolls.
