The staff is wonderful, but the shrimp po'boy was mediocre at best. It was super salty. The fries were too.
Great selections of whiskey and tap beers .. customer service is off the charts good
The cajun chicken posts was absolutely delicious, but the bread, although tasty, was very small and hard. Overall still a great meal!
We went to Bourbon St, New menu and concept. The gumbo was yummy, sandwich good, staff is unattentive.
Ron's Corner Tavern was great. It was our first time and it down the street. The drinks were very affordable for the quality. They offer food from the restaurant next door. We didn't get food this time but it smelled good. The service was very kind and knowledgeable. We definitely be back!
Exceptional liquor selection we loved having choices of rare and different bottles.Great drink pricing definitely was happy. The only part of the visit to be improved food was lacking definitely need to update the menu and expand good happy time bar food is a staple.
Awesome local tavern. Excellent beer selection and cool vibe. Small menu, but mushrooms are excellent.
What a pleasant find, can't believe we didn't know about this place sooner. Food is delicious, whisky is top shelf. Definitely will return!
Nice atmosphere and a wide selection of exotics. Sombati was playing live. I'd never heard of them, but the music was good so I got a couple of the albums.Good crowd of people there, good conversation.
I had previously been to another Ron's location and expected them to have the same menu's at both locations. They don't. At first my boyfriend and I were very agitated bc their menu had maybe 6 appetizer choices and 6 sandwich choices. I don't remember if there were dessert options or not. But we decided to go ahead and try it anyway. I'm so glad we did. We ordered the fried mushrooms and marinated steak sandwiches. The mushrooms were probably in the top 3 of the best I've ever had. I am pretty sure they dried the mushrooms after rinsing and before battering them. But whatever they did, the result was perfection. They were not dry at all and it brought ought the natural flavors of the mushrooms so I didn't feel like I was just eating fried batter. Now the marinated steak sandwiches come with horseradish but I subbed ranch bc I cannot eat anything remotely spicy. (Note my bf had the horseradish and said it was so good!) The ranch tasted homemade and again the combo of seasoning they used was delicious. Idk what they did to they bun but it was so fresh and soft on the inside with a slight crispness to the crust just like it is supposed to have. The veggies were fresh and actually tasted like veggies and not paper like at some places. Now about the steak?!?!! WOW WOW WOW. Sooo tender! I tasted a piece of it before I tried my sandwich and I would have been happy eating just that by itself. It's been 3 days since we went and my taste buds are still thanking me. And best of all our waiter/bartender was so entertaining. His personality was great and he was so funny. I honestly felt like I was sitting at a friend's house watching the game and my bf tipped him $20 (which was twice the amount of our bill thanks to Groupon) bc he was so good. Cannot wait till we are back in the area to visit again. If you don't visit this place you need your head examined.***Just a suggestion to whoever is in charge of the menu add some loaded steak fries to your appetizers using that marinated steak and serve with choice of ranch or horseradish***
