Came back here because I had really great experience the first time I came about two months ago. So I ordered the same food again. But unfortunately I had to clean the table and chair myself which I do not mind doing I understand the shortage in workers. Server brought us dirty plates for our appetizers, that didn’t even bother me cos I just wanted to eat until the food came out and it wasn’t as good as it was the last time. My pepper was missing and the ribs were cold.
Is a restaurant perfect? No. And it's not fair to expect one to be. There are so many moving parts and people involved you can not and will not catch everything. My dinner at on the border wasn't perfect some mistakes were made. BUT the communication and response by the hostess and our waiter is what I expected and made the mistakes look small comparable to the overall service. Quality of food and great night me and my wife had. My servers name was Jeffrey who's humor and professionalism made the night go smoothly. I sadly didn't catch the hostess name but she was beyond kind and made me feel less anxiety over bringing the problems I did have this night to light. Me and my wife will be returning. Thank you and your staff at this location.
Always enjoy eating here. John is an amazing waiter and always making sure everything is correct and is always prompt with drink service. They have great deals on margaritas leading up to Cinco de Mayo.
we had a wonderful time, good service great food best company
Worst dinner ever. The booth and table were filthy. 20 min to get chips, over 15 min to get drinks after we ordered them and it was 4 cokes, 35 min to get our dinner after we ordered. When we finally got our food the enchilada's and chicken fajitas were cold. Half a breast of chicken for $16+ is ridiculous. We didn't even eat 90% of our food. Couldn't get my drink refilled. This was nasty and it should be shut down staff retrained and new cooks. On the Border use to be good. Someone needs to do something.
I am unfortunately am injured and unable to go out so my Daughter offered to go pick me something up for dinner. I chose On the Border since it was very close to the house and I was in the mood for Mexican food. We ordered online and she left to pick it up. Over 12 minutes after she arrived, the bag that was sitting in the orders to be picked up area she felt was ours.. someone finally asked if they could help her with a “to go order” she said yes and gave our name. The person turned around and said here it is and gave her the bag. My Daughter was furious but remained calm and nice, she now states she should have just went and got the bag herself. Needless to say food is beyond cold. When you order out and spend a lot of money and then add a tip, you hope your food is at least “not cold” so much for hope!
We arrived mid-afternoon when there was only one party sitting on their patio and asked the hostess if we could get a table outside. She responded she would have to check with the server. When she returned she told us there would be a wait to sit outside. I understand that restaurants might be short staffed - but they only had one table occupied outside!?We decided to walk and eat at a different restaurant, since OTB obviously was not interested in serving us.
This place has turned to straight trash! The queso was watery & my chimichanga hardly had any chicken in it.....I sent it back. This was one of my favorite places to eat. Smh
service was good today as well as the food. sooo fulll!
Walked in and we were greeted with a smile by i want to say the manager? Food was okay. I tried their new birria tacos, the chorizo queso along with a sangria margarita. Our server miguel did great.
