Stick with the phillys. Phillys so good. Get a large. I've tried a bunch of other items on menu (chicken buffalo egg rolls, Philly toothpicks, Cajun fries, fried pickles), but I wouldn't order anything besides a Philly again. I seriously love their phillys, everything else meh. Interior was updated recently and looks very clean. I visit at least once a month.
The cook with the tats is the best cook y’all have had in years. Seems like the restaurant is under new management because the service, cleanliness, and consistency of being open has improved significantly.
Cheesesteaks always top notch but now taking burgers to the next level. Fred’s secret recipes are the best kept secret and for good reason Bc no one can match his phillys or his buglers.
Love this place. Been coming here for several years since moving to the area. Always though the food was great and loved that it was locally owned. This store has had a little remodeling and revamp over the last year or so. If ift's been awhile since you've been, I urge you to go again. The sandwiches are great. The staff is great.

Just moved to the area and had to find a good Philly. Stopped by Fred’s for lunch and met Fred and J. Absolutely the best service, and hands down the best Philly I’ve ever had. No need to look any further, this is the best Philly you’ll find!
Fred, I challenge you to a Philly cook-off my Philly versus your philly.I too am from the tri-state area, and I've had many Philly cheesesteaks in my time. I've had your philly and on a scale from 1 to 10 your's is a 3.No seasoning,dry flavor,grilled bun,And I found grisell in the last one of yours I tried.meat has no flavor you over cook it it's not ment to be browned.So come on let's do it.!!!
Philly cheesesteaks are delicious here. I wanted to add they should get better paper bags to hold the to go food in because my paper bag was falling apart by the time I got in the car.Also, it would help if you would keep the Fred’s hot sauce over the counter with the small containers to put it in that way people aren’t constantly having to ask for things (ketchup etc). The customer service was good here but I can tell they seemed to be overworked.
