Food was ok but I will never eat there again. Recently after eating there three or four times I realized I am "supposed to" tip at Steak & Shake. They're not full service. All the "server' does is take my order at the counter, take my credit card (before I get my food or service) and bring my food to the table. Literally nothing else. It's fast food. As far as "bringing food to the table" I could walk the ten feet to do that myself, that's north worth anything. So I look it up and sure enough they pay their servers tip wage. They're basically excusing themselves of paying a living wage by putting it into the customer to be the bad guy if you " stiff" the server. Will not eat there again. They need to pay their staff a living wage and charge appropriate prices rather than passing it off into the customer to make up the difference.
The employees just stared at me and my family when we walked in and didn't say anything. Plus there was only like 2 workers there. On top of that, they forgot our shakes that we ordered. The food also wasn't that good, so I really don't recommend eating here. ?
This is a good one. Clean place, friendly staff and they get your order right.
The garlic burger tasted good But my fries had NO seasoning nor salt on them just bland! So I asked for the seasoning that normally put on their fries and the cashier said they don't put it on the fries anymore you have to Purchase the seasoning!!! However my husband just so happens to see a bottle of the seasoning on a table almost Empty! So I got it to put on my Bland fries. My shake wasn't good either! I had to pay extra to get it to taste right. We'll only be using drive thru from now on!
The food is half raw the fries are unsalted waiter 30 minutes for a burger and fries only 3 people working one guy cooking if you have ever had elementary school food it’s better
Don’t waste your money here. The cheapest burger was $6 without a side and it did not taste like beef and the onion rings were dripping with Grease.
Total deliciousness!Great background Christian music. Very affordable and delicious food. Over the top service. Total favorite.
Awesome burgers! We will definitely be coming back!
The place was almost empty, it was relatively clean. I was really looking forward to tasting the food because it was the first time we ate there. I know how critical reviews are so I hesitate to give a bad review but if/ when I give a review it’s going to be HONEST. The food just wasn’t that good. The French fries literally had grease dripping out of them and the food wasn’t hot. We have no desire to go back.
Completely awful on so many levels. To start, they don't give change and my husband prefers paying with cash. Not the end of the world to use a card, but he isn't a fan, especially for meals. How hard is it to go to the bank to get change? It's not. We were the only people in there and after we ordered, she asked us for our table number. This was our first visit, so we didn't know we were supposed to pick table before we ordered. I looked at her and said, "You realize we are the only ones in here, take your pick." That wasn't a big deal, just found that humerus and was having fun with the girl. My burger was small, but ok tasting. Seriously, the meat patties from McDonald's were thicker than their meat patty. Not only that, the circumference was smaller than any fast food's basic hamburger or cheeseburger. It was ok tasting though. The fries on the picture is not what you get though. What you get are the thinnest fries I have ever gotten. I have had shoestring potatoes before, but these were by far the thinnest. They weren't bad, but definitely had much better. My husband's burger sandwich (on regular bread) was the nastiest thing. One side was completely hard and burnt and the other side was barely cooked. My husband will eat pretty much anything, so of course he didn't tell me this until after he was almost done eating. I did notice the crispy side and asked him about it, but he said it was ok. He said this because he knew I would have sent it back and he was hungry...lol. After he finished, he stated that was the worst "burger" he had ever had in his life. I was like dude, why did you eat it!? He was like you know me. I do and wasn't surprised. The icing on the cake was when I asked where the restroom was. I was informed that they had no public restroom. I did see the signs posted on the doors, but assumed they were for non paying customers like other places who post those signs. No, they seriously do not allow their customers to use the restroom. Um, I have not checked the law on this recently, but the law used to be something to the effect of if food and beverages were served in a dine in or place where you could congregate (think bar), then a restroom must be provided. How in the heck are you going to have a sit down restaurant that serves food and beverages and not offer your customers a restroom? This is supposedly a family type place. I'm old enough to walk next door to use the restroom, but a kid isn't. BTW, the restroom wasn't broken or anything like that, they just don't allow paying customers who dine in their establishment to use it. Overall, bad food and bad service. No reason to ever go back.
