I went there for the first time today. It had a nice atmosphere and it was really busy when I went but they still got my frappuccino out pretty quickly. Great tasting mocha frappuccino too.
Y’all this place is fabulous! I read about it on line and decided we had to make this stop before heading to Galveston. Oh my, well worth the stop. All of the deliciousness is beautiful and so good. The staff is great also. Win win!
I’ve never had a super amazing experience at this location. I really like the vibe and the setting, but the costumer service is very stale. Just recently, my drink tasted very bitter and not like usual and I paid close to $7 and politely asked them to remake it. It was really awkward as the baristas continually argued with me that they made it correct and they know they added the right proportions and such. It was frustrating because I knew it didn’t taste right and they very reluctantly remade it and were rude to me when I came back up to get it. I’ve had quite a few interactions like this and it’s left me very unimpressed with this location.
I want to start off by saying I’ve been here multiple times and have had lovely experiences here. They even made my 20th birthday cake last year and it was amazing. Now here’s why I’m rating it 3 stars. I went here Saturday afternoon with a friend. I ordered a original muffaletta and my friend ordered a different type to sandwich. Hers was heated and mine was not (I didn’t want it to be heated since I don’t mind a cold sandwich). Now this sandwich doesn’t have anything raw on it so nothing needed to be cooked. An hour after eating it I started feeling sick and like I was going to pass out. Throughout the day the feeling remained and got worse. My head felt like it was going to explode the entire day. I couldn’t sleep throughout the night without wanting to vomit. This went on for days. I spoke to my friend about it and she said she was feeling the same way. Cut to today, I’m still sick. I’m not sure what happened or if y’all had a new person making stuff but I have food poisoning. This is the first time it’s happened to me. I still love the place and I definitely recommend anyone to go there since it is lovely but I can’t lie and say I’m not cautious about eating from here :((.
We used to live in Beaumont and we were in town for a doctor's appointment so I stopped in for some of their yummy sugar cookies and a coffee. The food is phenomenal. I got a pack of their sugar cookies, a chicken salad sandwich on some kind of amazingly flavored chibata bread, and a white chocolate mocha latte, hot. The prices are a big nuts. For all of that and a 20oz Pepsi it was like $30-something. I mean, it's a bakery so I expect to pay higher prices but still, something to know if you've never been. Expect coffee house prices. The thing that irritated me and the reason I took off a star is because there is like zero menus anywhere until you get up to the counter. Then there's a small sign that advertises a QR code to look at the menu on your phone, or a laminated paper copy sitting on the counter. But there's no large menus overhead or any that I noticed that are sitting out anywhere so you can browse while you wait for the other patrons. I don't want to be that chick at the front of the line holding everyone up because it's my first time and I don't know what I want. That's ridiculous to me.But there's a large variety of foods from soups and sandwiches to Italian gelato that looked amazing, to specialty coffees, and anything bakery related that you can imagine. During Mardi Gras season, their King Cakes are also AMAZING!! Stuffed with flavor and dripping with just the right amount of delicious melted icing.I would recommend, but look up the menu before you go so you don't feel like an idiot like I did.
We had the pesto, turkey, bacon and Swiss sandwich. It was really good. I had the carmello coffee my guest had the chocolate mocha coffee both were really good. We then shared the chocolate turtle cheesecake. Shut the front door. It was better than amazing. The staff was very friendly and informative. Great place.
we got my cousin's strawberry pound cake for her birthday there. The cake was beautifully done. Wasn't too sweet but just sweet enough. One of the best pound cakes I have tasted.
Great private room for hosting events! Staff was friendly and helpful, we had a great time!
This was the busiest we've seen it here in a while but service was still good and the atmosphere is always top- notch. Bacon, egg, and cheese croissant was very good as was the chocolate eclaire. The gelato choices all looked amazing as well but we decided to come back later so we'll see.
When you walk in no employee is welcoming or smiling they all look harried and overworked and overwhelmed. The cake was dry and tasted pre-frozen. The cookies are stale unless you ask for a package of glazed sugar cookies that were glazed the previous day. Bakery? More like a sweatshop that sells baked "goods" that are overpriced and not very good. Save your money and don't waste your time here.
