The wait staff was great, but I was very disappointed with my sushi. I got a cut roll with soft shell crab tempura. While it looked nice, the crab tasted like it hadn't been cleaned before cooking. I may give Koi another try, but only to try something other than sushi.

Cool atmosphere, good tunes playing, all the sushi me and my wife got, was spot on, she got the caterpillar roll, the calamari hand roll, I got the spicy tuna roll and the shaggy, all rolls and hand rolls were awesome, she also got the mussels as an appetizer she thought they were fantastic.

Consistently appealing sushi! The sushi chef has created unique dishes to Koi - combinations that make sense without losing touch with Japanese roots. Great happy hour prices. Wish I could get ahold of some Aji and Uni sushi, but understandably challenging this far from the Pacific. Thanks guys! My new favorite Monday sushi fix.

Surprise Valentine's Day dinner... wonderful experience. The staff were all friendly and very professional. We didn't want for anything. They took great care of us. The Crunchy Shrimp roll was my favorite but all 3 rolls were delicious.

Awesome place! Amazing sushi, drinks and atmosphere. We are out of town from fort worth and the owner hung out with us and made us feel at home. Highly recommend and will definitely be going back! Definitely best and only place you should go to for sushi in Beaumont.

i’ve ate sushi from many different states and this is by far my favorite place! the workers are so polite, the restaurant has a beautiful atmosphere, and the food is always delicious :)

This restaurant has good food but the wait staff is as slow as snails! Literally 4 customers in the entire place on Saturday afternoon at 1pm the week of Christmas.. it’s pouring down rain so I thought it would be worth trashing my umbrella due to high wind and rain, it was not. So irritating to sit and wait needlessly. They have absolutely no personality or friendliness. They are as friendly as a piece of cardboard. I’m only here because Tokyo is closed on Saturday. What’s up with that??? Merry Christmas to all from a generally very happy, patient, friendly customer!

If you want great sushi and a really cool vibe this is the place to be...Tokyo sushi just does not compare. I ate a whole snow-crab roll before I took the picture. The only reason I have rated a 4 star review is because my husband got the chicken fried rice and he said it was almost too much soy sauce in the rice...his exact words were a drop more it would have overdone it. Other then that it was amaze-balls and I ate my weight in sushi!!

We stopped by here on the way home from Texas. Back home we have a much greater variety of Japanese restaurants and I've eaten at many different Japanese restaurants. I found this one to be below average. We ate here with our two little kids. The oldest loves sushi but the youngest hasn't acquired a taste yet. I was disappointed to see that this restaurant does NOT offer a kids menu option. The traditional roll sushi was overpriced and their specialty rolls were average priced. Three of the four sushi we ordered was average in taste... not exceptional but average, and not worth the price since they were all just regular traditional rolls and not anything fancy. Ome of the rolls, the crunchy snow roll, was absolutely disgusting. The chef utterly drenched it in eel sauce to the point that the rice had turned brown by the time it was brought to us. You could only taste salty eel sauce when you ate it. I complained about it and nothing was done about it. The seaweed salad was clearly just flat pack frozen that they bought and twice the price of any other restaurant I've eaten at. Bottom line: next time I pass through visiting relatives I do not intend to eat here again.

I've been a guest at Koi for years. Love the atmosphere, the staff and the amazing food! Thank you all for my years of wonderful memories, and those to come!
