A local treasure with delicious food and excellent service. Will absolutely stop again when traveling through Beaumont. They prepare unique dishes and gave us special attention as”1st Timers”
Took my wife here for Mother's Day brunch, as our daughter's live in another state now. We had a reservation so we got right in. Happy after seeing all of the people standing outside.Service was good and attentive.Food was mixed. My wife's meal was great. My chicken fried steak was seriously over cooked. Busy day and it was clearly left in the fryer too long. Appetizer and drinks were goodOverall a mediocre visit. Gave a 4 instead of a 3 because of how busy they were. Assume it's better on a normal day.
Noisy as heck. Can’t hear yourself think or have a conversation. Come to eat. Service seems good. Food is good and portions good size.
Great food! Everything house made. Wonderful craft beer list and hand made cocktails are always tasty. Prices are very reasonable for what you are getting. I can't get enough of the grilled cheese and the meatloaf sandwhich(get without jalapenos unless you like SPICY). Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Dining area is always clean.
Service was excellent, local brewed beer was delicious and the food…oh my gosh, AMAZING! The “man candy” will change your life my friends!
Delicious food, phenomenal staff and great atmosphere!
Me and my family make sure to stop here regularly. The food is great, the staff is friendly, and the atmosphere (although a bit loud) is quite pleasant. From the start, I want to say that the “Man Candy” (pork belly with jalapeño jelly and buttered toast) is arguably the best appetizer in Beaumont. If you come to J Wilson’s, this is certainly a must-try! I actually get two orders of the Man Candy for my entire meal sometimes—it’s that good! Another personal preference is the “Grown Man Grilled Cheese”. You can add a meat of your choice to it. I prefer to add the Man Candy. You won’t be disappointed. ? What is my favorite dish? Ah, I’m glad you asked. I have an easy answer. My favorite dish, without a doubt, is the “Spinach and Grits”. (It’s only served at lunchtime, so come early!) It boasts of a delicious bed of grits and spinach, topped with several grilled shrimp and an egg cooked to your preference. The grits are a bit bland, so be sure to add some salt and pepper for some added flavor. Voilà! There you have it! A picture-perfect meal of spinach and grits! Be sure to add this place to your bucket list. You won’t regret it. Oh, and don’t forget to order the Man Candy!

The service from Zach was very good. My husband said his omelette was delicious. My grilled chicken sandwich was average. Very dry and bun, though good, was not big enough for the over salted chicken breast and was hard to manage. The fries were delicious. The atmosphere was friendly, but very, very loud. Asked for a to-go cup for my iced tea. Usually, the waiter will bring a refill, but all I got was the cup for the third of the iced tea I had left.
went last night had a great time food was amazing..
