Love everything about this place food is awesome!
The food was mediocre. My server was great. The manager was incompetent. She was the one in plain clothes so I assume she was the manager. Me and my family were in a hurry and needed our ticket split at the register. She was rude when we stated what we ordered and ran off and called someone else when she was confronted. She was talking about customers as they left and when she was confronted about that she left. I did kot catch her name but I went on 5-29 at approximately 1pm.
Worst experience. Didn't get my correct order and then was told I am wrong by the waiter. Our food came out late and cold. Our waiter member brought us the creamer we asked for and didn't come back until we were done eating. Go up to pay and ask the manager if I was mistaken, or was I really missing something from my order. She confirms I am correct but then snaps at me when I try to get it fixed. Super hostile. I was prepared to buy a bunch of cute items but just ended up paying and leaving without my items or the rest of my order. Will never be coming back here. Better off going to Black Bear Diner across the street.
So we r always excited to stop at Cracker Barrel & have been to many different locations. We love the biscuits. So imagine our surprise when waitress came to table with one biscuit & one cornbread. When we questioned waitress, she said, that’s all u get per table. My sister told her, well there of 3 of us. She said it doesn’t make any difference! We told her this has never happened at any other Cracker Barrel. Her response was, well u r in Beaumont now. Won’t be going back to that location!
We frequent Cracker Barrel in our travels. Love the food. Mostly the wait staff is friendly and courteous. One thing I dislike is the took away my western omelette. I know, it wasn’t on the menu, but it’s easy to make. Not a problem, though
I must say this because it is my first bad experience and I am going to assume it was too close to closing time on a Friday night at 9:30 pm. I placed online order for curbside service. The chicken fried steak is my all time favorite. I have never tried brown gravy and its wasn't bad but not my choice. The remains of the meat between the breading crust could be referred to a the mystery meat, dark brown almost black, dry beyond jerky and totally separated from crust. Disgusting to look at and undesirable to eat. No complaints about any other items. I would have liked my cream gravy for my mashed taters. I would recommend that they discard after this has happened as it was clearly visibly abnormal looking. They serve it naked on a to go plate and placed the gravy on the side. I did not enjoy the first bite or the last. I will say being a Friday night of I wouldn't have ordered it what was their intention for it. It may have been lunch left over and under heat lamp til dinner. Surely it wasn't yesterdays lunch left over.I will return as I am not above understanding a mistake.
TERRIBLE SERVICE. Ordered online, pulled up at time given. THIRTEEN minutes of calls and waiting and I had to go inside to find my own food on the shelf while THREE employees were standing by it. Arrived home with cold food which required warming again in microwave which made ham TOUGH. Green beans were tasteless and potatoes were so hard they had to be warmed for 3 minutes on high to be edible. I literally cut it down the middle with a knife and showed my husband while holding it in the air on the knife.I will NEVER eat here again. At least my puppy enjoyed the ham. Waste of time AND $$. FIRST and LAST time.
The restaurant decor was pleasant. Fun to shop for unusual items. The food is very reasonably priced. Love the breakfast. This visit, ordered the Vegetable Platter. Could use a bit more seasoning ~ however, was good, fresh & filling. Hosts & Cashiers were very courteous. Have dined before & will dine again.
I ordered the hamburger steak, well done, green beans Mashed potatoes and for dessert cobbler. Hamburger steak was cooked perfectly oh and mashed potatoes were a bomb and cornbread muffins everything was delicious?? thank you Cracker Barrel ?
Great place to eat always. I will say the waitress makes the visit even better. Anne always happy and welcoming. We have had many waiters and waitresses, but Anne is Exceptional.
