Casa Tapatia is hands down one of the best restaurants in SE Texas and the best Mexican Restaurant hands down. The food was fresh. I had this burrito- the Tejano Burrito, wuuuut? The beef was amazing- it’s not “mystery meat.” It was flavorful and melted in my mouth. The wait staff were friendly. The booze hit your boy like “holla!” Dude 5 stars.

The spinach enchiladas come with a tomatillo green sauce, but adding sour cream sauce is allowed (and quite yummy). It comes with guacamole, beans and rice.The grilled catfish dish comes two ways (the deluxe version with 3 LG shrimp on top and shrimp in the rice) and a rice, tomato & guacamole salad.
We are traveling to Houston and decided to make a quick stop.we are more than satisfied with the service and specially the food we had barbacoa it was delicious is hard to find good barbacoa sadly is far from home but I definitely recommend this place
Friendly and attentive staff. Unfortunately the food was bland except for the refried beans, which were actually good. I had the beef fajitas and my wife had the stuffed avocado. Not terrible but just meh.

Service was excellent and food came out quickly. Tortillas was hand made and warm. All food was good; plenty of it in each serving. My kids liked it too.
