My last visit into Waffle House it was around shift change in the morning, and one employee I watched come into the restaurant, walk behind the counter and immediately began serving a customer, no washing of hands nothing.. this made me watch the others as they trickled in and sure enough, they too just came right in and began touching things and serving without washing hands.. I did openly ask my waitress if that was standard practice and she shuffled over to one of the guys I was talking about that was serving people without washing, they both looked over at me like I was enemy #1 and then he walked to the dish pit and washed his hands..Every one is so worried about Covid, no one is paying attention to simple cleaning hands before working in a food prep area. I did give them 2 stars for the coffee, so strong it can kill any germs…
We waited at booth for 10 minutes. A couple comes in to booth next to us and gets served immediately. We walked out. Told the host why and she had no concerns to fix the issue. I commonly ignore the rudeness of the waitresses there. It's only the Garth rd one and the waitresses 25 and under. The older ones are very polite. No wonder people wait to sit in their section.
I hadn't been to WH since before Covid but went there today on April 3rd for some brunch and immediately remembered what good service and good food I have been missing! Krystal who is usually a cook served us and did a stupendous job! She is a gem. Will definitely be coming back! :)
Waffle House is my favorite restaurant and it's a bummer we don't have any in California. My second favorite job ever was 3rd shift cook at a Waffle House in SE Texas. This particular location was the traditional layout, high counter, low counter and booths along left of high counter and along exterior of street side windows. Grill and cook in full view of everyone, setup plates the original method, never viewed a single ticket, all audible. Waitstaff were quick to greet, take drink orders, (food order too since we knew what we wanted) and bring drinks along with preserve items(steak knives, sauces). Called orders out from traditional call points, one even helped setup plates on the line when there was a brief rush of orders called. Cook flipped all egg orders by hand as per policy, no utensils touched any egg pan and orders came out quickly. Order was up within 8 minutes even with heavy meats (steaks med rare) and everything was EXACTLY as desired, perfect on steak cooking, eggs over medium, toast grilled wheat, hash browns ringed but covered. Coffee was hot and fresh and got freshened/topped up 4 times during my meal. Waitress pre-bussed and checked to make sure all was satisfactory too. All this during probably the busiest time (near end of 1st shift while receiving weekly truck shipment and restocking, waitstaff handling side work as well)kudos to all the staff. Y'all did it the Waffle House way!
Stopped by on our way out of town. Got the All American breakfast. Everything was great. The best extra crispy hash browns we have ever had!/

Hey every now and then you gotta send food back no matter where u eat at...the good thing about this Waffle House is that they replaced my bacon quickly and with a smile...the cook was busy apparently and bacon got all crispy..lol.but my experience was great...its a Good Waffle House.
To start off, the food was so good! Everything was great and definitely satisfied me. Whoever comes here needs to ask for the waiter named Armani. He was great and a very good waiter.
We have been coming here for years and this place never disappoints. Everyone is so welcoming. Ask for Armani, he’s a wonderful waiter & will make sure you’re taken care of!
