When I first moved to Baytown, this place was decent, not the best Vietnamese restaurant but for the location where I was at, I considered it my "go to" Viet restaurant. I ordered the same things over and over as I am not comfortable venturing out of my comfort zone with Vietnamese food once I have found what is good at a specific restaurant. The pho has gotten bland over time, the broth tasted straight up water and salt, no flavor, and the color of the soup was just black. At least that was my experience 2 weeks ago. I had pho from Pho House before, it wasn't anything great but at least it still had flavor. This time it was bad! My kids are not Vietnamese and they even commented: this soup tasted weird, not like before! I didn't believe them so I tried to taste the soup. Yup, bad!That was for my kids. I ordered grilled pork vermicelli. Nope, no flavor, just bland. Talking about paying a fortune for the food just to not be happy with the quality. I ordered 4 pho, 1 vermicelli, and the cost was around $78, so roughly $15 a dish. I don't mind paying for good food but I have a problem paying for overpriced tasteless food.Would not go back there anytime soon, for sure!
As a person who grew up in Vietnam, this place is no where near authenticity. We were the only table there that day. We had to wait a while for our food, and they messed up our food, forgot the rest of our order and the waitresses were standing there nonstop talking to each other, and there was not an apology from the waitress for forgotten the rest of our food but an “ok” in response. The manager was there but she couldn’t tell customers were bothered by the service they got. I wouldn’t come back for either food or service.
Tonight the broth has less flavor than previous times. Not sure if they diluted it or changed the recipe but definitely not the rich broth we have come accustomed to. Disappointed ☹️
I got a vermicelli bowl and I feel like i was eating mostly lettuce. The lettuce wasn’t even cut into a decent size, i only put two stars because there was a decent amount of chicken and well cooked.
I ordered a chicken pho, and got beef broth instead of chicken broth... Yuck! The egg rolls were good though.
Best vietnamese cuisine I’ve had in a while! The ingredients are so healthy and fresh. The staff are so nice and helpful. I did not have any issues with my experiences, and I will for sure be coming here very often! Thank you Pho House!!
Disappointed....servers were nice, food okay, but my orders arrived in sections.. one plate arrived as we finished eatting..
The girls in the lobby are always very welcoming! Gain rapport very quickly, and make great suggestions if it is your first time being there.Food tastes fresh, and amazing!
This is one of the best phos I’ve ever had. It was super flavorful, hot, and fresh! It hit the spot. The service is unmatched as well!! Definitely would recommend and give more stars if possible!
First time here, very friendly service, they take care of you very quickly. Loved all the food I ordered.
