The food was amazing as usual. The service is the worst I've ever experienced. We sat next to a large table that was not cleared or cleaned our entire visit. It was like sitting next to a trash can. Our waitress was rude and mostly absent. She forgot our drinks, didn't bring the salad until the food was ready and forgot to order the children's meal. I observed the other waitress doing all the right things. I will request her next time. I think more training would be beneficial.
Good food lots of choices. The service was great. Friendly and took the order how i wanted it. Could clean the condiments better. But overall the food was hot and great flavor. The salad was not very good so didn't want too eat it. It was the core of iceberg lettuce and one slice of tomato. But the grilled shrimp was good. And so was the dirty rice. Steak was very thin should have been thicker especially being in Texas. But lobster was great flavor and nice and hot with real butter. Sweet tea was great black tea and real sugar. Close by the truck stop so just a hop, skip and walk away. Bathroom was very clean. Will be coming back to try different seafood.
If you want good service, I would avoid this place. The food was ok. I wish there was another option other than rice. I didn’t know it came with that and she didn’t ask what side I wanted. She also brought ranch instead of thousand island dressing. She kind of threw it down when it was delivered. The shrimp has more spice than I prefer, but was good and they were large shrimp.As I was eating, she brought the check. She didn’t say anything to me, but was speaking to the other table. That would have been a good time to ask how was everything or did I need something else. What if I wanted dessert? How do I pay my bill? She did t tell me. This isn’t an upscale restaurant.
TERRIBLE. Good about 10 years ago. Go to the. West Main location in Baytown. I’m sure this place only survives due to its location near 1-10 and traveling motorists who don’t know any better. Get back on your game BSF and make it great again. West main location Has it going on.
My Husband and I visited today and was very dissatisfied. I told the watriest with no personality that the crackers were stale, and she said, "we really don't use this area." And she got me more stake crackers from the other side of the restaurant. I also noticed we were seated on the side of the bathroom and other black customers as they entered to be seated as well. The gumbo was awful with big chunks of cerely. My Husband ordered Shrimp Etufee and he almost spit it out from the first taste. I tasted it and we both felt it tasted like some type of rat poison. We had to have it removed off of our ticket. I felt insulted and hated we ate the Gumbo. This restaurant needs to be shut down. The service is pathetic!! When it comes to serving food to others, make them feel satisfied, eager to tell others and eager to return. Instead we left driving home as if we would end up with food poison. Please take that etufee off the menu because that was slap in our face and to our digestive system. I'm mad as hell!!!
I haven't been Here in a while. Place seemed kind of dirty. Food was not good, served warm and not many people in there. Waitress seemed distracted and never came back to our table to check on anything.
First time here at this location Hwy 146 at I-10 east Fwy. Very disappointed. First off they served my wife an empty dirty side plate for our shrimp fried rice, and then in the rice was a human hair (the waitress confirmed). We ordered the 5lb Crawfish plate. At least ten of the crawfish was rotten and the flavor of the crawfish tasted like tomatoe sauce No hint of crawfish seasoning. And the crawfish rice looked more like Mexican rice with the seafood in it. So very disappointedThis location is the last.
Visited while on vacation, no substitutions allowed, no add ons for boil dinners. Paid over 40$ just for drinks(Non alcoholic) after deciding to leave because waitress wouldn’t ask if I could add on for extra charge. Wouldn’t recommend to anyone. Tons of better options being so close to the gulf for seafood.
This place sucked really bad. The waitress had an attitude and the quality of the food was jus terrible. The salads looked as if they had been sitting out for days and looked really sloppy. The fish tasted slimy or something and i was afraid of getting sick. The only thing edible for me was the fries. I can't even explain how sorry the restrooms are! I suggest you don't come here because it was a total disappointment.
I hold this place near and deer my heart, I grew up here, leaned to wipe here, and had my first kiss one one those maroon leather booths. The food is a bite of nostalgia and brings me to a place of childhood memories..... but the parking lot sucks.
