It's OK, but a little expensive for what it is. Some things are exceptional, like the fluffy biscuits and crunchy tater tots. Some things are pretty good, like the burgers, pancakes and tacos. Other things are mediocre, like the country omlettes (really tough), chicken fried steak (small and chewy but good crunch) and the sausage gravy (it's almost sweet).My bigger issue with Waterloo is the value. The food is more expensive than it should be. I feel like I get better food for a better price elsewhere.This location is convenient, and I suppose they can charge more because of it. But there are better options if you're willing to drive a little.
Delicious veggie platter and drinks were a little weak but had delicious flavor!The live music really brings the place together.

Terrible experience. Ordered curbside and arrived 10 minutes early, Called the host stand to let them know. They reassured they would bring the food out as soon as it was ready. 20 minutes pass by (10 pass our quoted time online) and nothing. Went inside and our food was sitting on the counter unattended. Brought it back to the car and it was 1) Cold and 2) missing our drinks. Go back inside and host points for us to get from bar…Don’t advertise curbside and ask for car details if you aren’t going to actually follow through with it. Food was mediocre, no condiments, no napkins or utensils. Waste of $50 on a cold meal.
First time at Waterloo and didn't know what to expect. Went for lunch and we sat at the bar immediately rather than wait 30 minutes for table sitting. We enjoyed a turkey swisd mushroom burger with a side salad and waffle and chicken. Both dishes were the right size and price.
Lunch here is always a good idea. The food and pricing is just right. The service is generally decent. My only gripe is that sometimes parents let their kids have free reign of the restaurant.
I was visiting Austin for friends and family and i was looking for a restaurant with a playground. So happy we found it! Food was good, clean place, staff friendly. The ambience is relax, chill,can watch the kids playing while eating and have a nice drink.Really like it!!!
Visiting Austin and met up with old friends here. We sat outside and enjoyed some ice cold drinks (try the Patio Pounder!) and delicious food (the Waterloo salad, pulled pork sandwich, and Texas Philly were all excellent)! Our kids had a great time using the playscape and running around. A great night was had by all.
Good food and service. Don’t recommend the hello honey coffee as it was very salty.
Very good food, chips and queso is great, we love coming here because of ambiance and friendly staff.
