Gumbo and catfish on rice are our weekly go-to’s
The gumbo is too good for words, and the cocktails are unique and refreshing. The staff here are amazing humans. Very kind and accommodating, and it creates a welcoming atmosphere.Really cute decor, love the wall of provisions and the crystal chandeliers.
Each plate was crafted Beautifully and you can taste the freshness and quality of ingredients. I ordered the fried chicken thigh on their house salad, gumbo, boudin balls and beignets. Each was delicious. Service was attentive, quick and personable! Ashlynn was our server and she went above and beyond for our table. Cute decor, intimate vibes and friendly service! Would highly recommend to eat here!!
For Austin Cajun food, I think this place is greatThe mood was nice and food was great but the portions weren't too good. I mean I guess I do eat a lot but overall okay. If you want Cajun I think good place to visit. The little booth looked really nice, there is only one so if you want a bit of privacy maybe can reserve it.
Seriously, a great place to come for that personal touch your looking for! I hope they are very successful in business, they definitely deserve it, the food it so good and I love the decor!!!
This place is awesome! The food is wonderful. The parking is tricky; it’s in the back.
As far as I know there aren’t many restaurants serving this type of cuisine and in a city like Austin, it’s refreshing. Nearly everything but the ketchup is made in-house.I ordered the boudin, gumbo, and Cochon de lait po boy sandwich. There’s a very organic and rustic vibe on the interior.Really awesome place. Can’t wait to go back.
Customer service here is amazing. You order food and drinks at the counter, then take a seat and the food is brought out to you. My favorite thing on the menu is the house salad actually, the jalapeno vinegarette has a kick to it. Try adding it to any of the po'boys for an acidic bite. I do have to say the sandwiches are pretty pricey compared to other Austin restaurants, and I wouldn't call this place a traditional Cajun restaurant, but still enjoyed our meal. The bread pudding was a surprise though, I was expecting a soft, mushy texture but it's more like a sweet falafel. I wasn't mad about it, loved the crunchy exterior and paired great with the jam sauce.
I absolutely love this place! Excellent thought out drinks and a good selection of mocktails. The food is also well made and flavorful. They have a rotating daily plate so you can always experience something new when you go.
Great food, fun drinks, personable staff. What more can you want?
