I could be exaggerating but my 20 years in Texas thus far, this chicken and the flavor is simply unmatched. Ordinarily I had the highest level of hottest they have to offer, thinking it wouldn't be much of anything but I was wrong- severely hot! Caution!
Absolutely delightful sechwan fries were so good we opted to put a few more tenders on them to make them last forever. Looking for some traditionally fried moist and firey chicken ?????
Visiting my UT student from Dallas and she said that she and her friends go here at least once a week. I can see why! Their chicken is hands down the best I have ever had. That says a lot coming from someone who used to work for KFC international and has had hot chicken from all over the world. Beans were great. Dirty fries were delicious! I also had the Blood Orange Margarita and it was really good too. Server was attentive and very nice. HIGHLY recommend!
Yesterday I experienced a near-perfect chicken sandwich that I’m still thinking about this morning. But what really impressed me is how nice everyone was. Austin was under a boil-water notice, so I’m sure it was more annoying than usual to work at a restaurant, but we only experienced friendliness from the staff. Our server Erin gave us great recommendations, handled all of our requests quickly (which matters when you’re on the upper end of your weight class for spicy things and need water!), and didn’t rush us at all when I took a minute to recover from the Big Larry cocktail before driving home.I am not a super spicy eater. My happy place is regulation standard buffalo wing sauce. I got “mo’ hot” and it was about right with an extra side of their tasty ranch. My spicier friend got “dang hot” and just about managed with the help of two Big Larrys. We also got dirty fries, dirty mac, and pickle chips – all were great.
My kids love this place. I don’t care for it, but that’s just a personal taste preference issue. Also, I’m not a huge fan of chicken and that is basically all they serve.The wait staff is wonderful. Friendly and efficient.
I come here a lot but sometimes their estimated time for takeout food to be ready can be wrong. My food was 20 minutes late and was semi-cold when I got it. I do really like the food though. Servers were nice and I really appreciate how strict they are being with mask enforcement.

I would love to give a good review and I’m sure the food is great but the “service” we had today was horrid. As we walked in we spoke to a hostess who asked us if we had masks. We did not and we asked why we needed them when everyone else inside and outside did not have one on. She told us we needed them to walk around. As we were stood next to 2 bar chairs we asked if we could sit there and she said “yes” and then mumbled something about going to do something. At the bar no one had masks on. After a while a very assertive and abrupt lady came out and was asking us questions to almost make us lie. She said we cannot be seated without a mask. We said we weren’t seated, we asked if we could sit in the chairs we were stood against and were told yes. Then she said well you’ll need to leave. And we said why since we are sat down and have ordered and everyone else sat down did not have a mask. She said we cannot serve you and you cannot use the restroom and then she gave us an attitude head shake and facial expression and had to tell us again that we could not move, as if we were children. If this situation had been dealt with in a more discreet, mature, understanding nature I’m sure we would have felt less attacked and persecuted and more understanding, however we decided to leave as we did not want to give out its earned money to an establishment and staff that can’t even speak to customers with respect. They also turned away another couple while we were there. They did not even offer for them, or us, to be seated outside - again where no one was wearing a mask. Have been going here for over a year. Usually have a great experience, not today! Usually sit at bar and get greeted immediately. After a few minutes of sitting and no help, asked a server if it is better to sit at a table to get service? She said why do you ask, and I said I have not seen the bartender. She with a bad attitude said well I am the bartender! Not can I help you or sorry, just was slamming things around. Asked if she was having a bad day, again bad attitude. I said well I don't need a bad attitude and got up to leave and asked for a manager. Manager also did not seem to care so left and went next door to Lupe Tortilla and had an awesome experience!! Bartender had a great attitude. Will think twice now about returning. If I am going to spend money would prefer to have a pleasant experience. Honestly have noticed the last few trips a lot of workers just doing time and want to leave at Tumble 22.
Food is 5 stars. Service is the only reason I drop it a star. The staff in general are aloof and too cool for you. Also slow and inattentive. But the food is fantastic. The drinks are also tasty and strong.
