This place is amazing. When you first look at the prices you think that they are over priced. I actually ate half if the half sub I ordered and had the rest later. I grew up in an area known for its dell's and subs. This place is the first I have found that reminds me of the great sandwiches I grew up with. Give them a shot, you will not be disappointed. The guys who make the sandwiches are great too. You can tell they take pride in making them.
So yesterday was our third time ordering from this location out of convenience and NEVER again. Oak Hill location has never steered us wrong and is by far superior. It was the WORST experience by far yesterday at this location. Our family-friends used to live down the road so they used to love eating here all the time and they've been living up north so it was a birthday/mother's day treat that we drove to them. They ordered the gourmet Italian subs and both were made the "Tucci way" which is not what was ordered (via phone so they should have been asked and confirmed but were not), aka their sandwiches were ruined at the price of $29.25 total for two sandwiches. Not to mention what if someone was allergic to those ingredients. I called before closing because that's when we were finally heading home after an afternoon of being together and celebrating, and the guy was so rude to me about it and lied that all sandwiches come that way when in fact on the website and ordering menus and the menu photos online ALL say you have to request the "Tucci Way", not the other way around. My partner got the Philly cheesesteak and has been suffering from food poisoning all day. We spent $83.73 on a horrible and unprofessional experience. Reach out to make it right. #getgüd----------------And still no response to my email, never going back here.
Subs were ok. But for the price and the service go somewhere else. 2 large subs were over $40 dollars. The subs were good. But nothing to write home about. The service however will prevent me from coming back. The skinny gentleman that took our order was curt and rude. It’s almost dinner time on a Friday. A little hospitality and customer Service goes a long way. If you don’t like customers don’t work in customer service. We won’t be coming back.
Great spot for authentic classic subs. Way better than any national chain. Portions are huge. Two people can easily share a large. Sub of the day is a good deal.
Fantastic flavor, service! Some of the best sandwiches we’ve had. We ordered a Reuben, Italian and Philly and they were all delicious!
First time visit; I got the Philly.Service, flavor and ingredients were top notch, but the bread severely detracted from the entire experience for me (I may be an Amoroso fanboi).I'll definitely be back to try some other offerings.
Great sandwiches with great portions and very friendly staff. Loved it!
Best Italian subs south of Delaware! My favorite is the Gourmet Italian, their way (dressed with sweet-hot peppers, oil & vinegar, and oregano). Don't skip the peppers. Also, ingredients matter: Boar's Head meats and custom hoagie rolls from New World Bakery. The rolls are delicious AND hold up to the dressing. You can't go wrong with any of their subs (the meatball sub, Italian beef, and Gramma Max's hot ham & swiss are other faves), but if you're missing Italian subs like in the northeastern US, go here.
Hands down the best subs. I’ve had the Philly, Meatball, Hot Italian, and the Tucci’s Turkey and they never disappoint. I order a half, which is plenty but I HAVE to get the voodoo chips too obviously. They use fresh and quality ingredients like Boars Head, and you can definitely tell. If you love supporting local businesses and favor high quality food, then it’s Tucci’s Southside Subs all the way. Plus, the staff is always so friendly and helpful every time I come in.
Best subs in Austin! The Cajun Turkey is my favorite. I just had an unfortunate incident with Favor & even though it wasn’t their fault at all, Tucci’s remade my sub on the spot for me and my hangriness. Thanks again!
