Inattentive staff. Sloppy service. Our server was slow to determine if the group was ready to order. Not once did the server ask if there were questions about the items in the menu. Initially the server stood next to a computer to input the order as people near the computer station had to speak loudly to order. Upon understanding that this process wasn't going to work, the server stopped taking the order and started searching for something to write with and write on. The simple act of serving water was a disaster. Unrestrained hair fell on members of our party. The server reached over the table without warning. Water was splashing out of the glasses and onto the table and people. As plates were finished theplates were not retrieved by the server or bussing staff. The place wasn't full... There's a reason. "Casa llena, comida buena". Not here. There are so many other sushi places to discover. If this is your benchmark, keep exploring.

We had a large group there on a week night. Sushi was fresh and delicious. For all you can eat service, Tsukimi was top notch!

We have been here twice. The place is great, service is great, and food order wait time was fast than any other places we have been to. Friendly and not too crowded.

Great sushi! The fish is fresh and the rolls are good. They have an all you can eat deal for ~$25 for lunch and ~$35 for dinner. (The lunch doesn't include sashimi or nigiri though.) You can also order directly off the menu.

Always friendly staff and even tastier food, this place never disappoints. If you are in the area, stop in. Well worth it.

Great place, i really liked their unusual sushi options like flying fish eggs. I have had a LOT of sushi in my life and their sushi is a 7/10. Good but nothing special. Definitely a good place to go if youre in the area, but not really worth venturing to.

Tsukimi is delicious! I have ordered carryout several times and finally got to dine in. Everything is fresh, beautifully presented, and served pretty fast. The best sushi I've had in Austin.

I had AYCE dinner. Time limit is 90 minutes. Service is good. I mainly order nigiri and sometimes the fish came out different that my expectation, but still good. The NIGIRI is not truly AYCE. You get 4 rounds, each round limit to 10pcs nigiri and 3 rolls per person. It's hard one can use up this quota but since I am not a fan of rolls, that mean 40 pcs nigiri plus other items for me. But within 90 minutes I can only eat 3 rounds plus some more ice cream. Do pay attention to the "limited nigiri" section. Those items has a limit per round, and you can only order 2 rounds. Even if you so not use up the per round quota, you cannot go for a third round on those items. I missed out on trying aome limited items because it is not clear to me the way the server explained it. So if you plan accordingly, you can get a max of 20 pcs of nigiri types in that section. Although not truly AYCE, there are many other items you can order you will not be hungry. And if you order a decent amount according to your appetite, a 5th round won't do you any good cos you only have 90 minutes anyways. Don't miss out the ice-cream. Those are really good. Also the adeshi tofu (fried tofu). Garden salad is fresh. Tempura was good just the bottom most piece was too soggy bathing in oil. I loved the salmon roe (ikura). The sweet shrimp I expected it raw but it came somewhat cooked. The nigiris are not that nicely crafted as you order a la carte, but the fish part was small but tastes ok. For dining alone maybe don't order rolls cos you will be eating 6-8 pcs of the same thing. The poke salad.... This time I only found 1-3 tiny cubes of fish in the bowl, and a whole bunch of seaweed salad... which is quite salty. A bit disappointed in that arrangement. Wish I had more time/appetite to try more of the cooked food. ?just don't have room to eat them when dining alone.Currently they do admit they are understaffed and asked for patience from customers. That is understandable and the AYCE order did come quite fast and the server was attentive to know when to give you back your order paper for next round. That actually made the dining experience more positive despite the confusion on the limited nigiri items. So 4 stars. Currently dinner is $32.95 + tax. I never tried AYCE lunch but rule says there is no nigiri, time limit is 60 minutes, and around $25.

I have a severe food allergy. When ordering my meal, I explained that clearly to the waitress. She assured me that my choices were safe. The dish came with that food item. I told the waitress I could not eat it, and requested a new plate of the same order without that item. My daughter and I watched in shock as the chef (who is visible from the dining area) pick off the items, add something different in the same area, and have the plate re-delivered to me. My daughter was even recording this.I don't care how good everyone thinks this restaurant is: don't eat here. The absolute callous indifference the customer health and safety is appalling. Something like that could send me to the ER.

Have had Tsukimi several times now, and can honestly say this is some of the best sushi I’ve ever had. The detail and quality is phenomenal. Definitely recommend!
