Walked here from the Sheraton for breakfast the morning of my flight. The coffee was good and the music was better. Tacos, although expensive, we’re delicious. There looked to be a back patio as well as a front patio but minimal seating inside. The staff were friendly and it liked that there was a DJ. I will come back next time I’m in town.
We really like coming here for a coffee and some breakfast. The place is nice with seating outside in front and in back as well as inside. What's super cool is they have a live DJ spinning vinyl in the main area inside. The coffee here is good and they have a selection of pastries and tacos. The tacos are delicious even though they're on the smaller side. The staff is great! They're nice, friendly and willing to accommodate. Out on the back patio could use a little freshening up, including the watering of some plants as it seems a bit rundown. Overall we had a really nice time here and would totally recommend it to others. #dj, #tacos, #coffee
Hands down the best Mocha Latte in all of Austin. Super cool vibes and love the vinyl music. This is one of my top favorite coffee places in Austin. Tacos are good, staff are authentic and it’s a great place to just chill.
This eclectic space is chalk full of personality, patrons, and delicious food and drinks. I was blown away by the carnitas taco and wishful that I had ordered more or tried a large sampling. I paired my breakfast taco with their refreshing cold brew and was reflective of what a wonderful gem this neighborhood of Austin has. Everyone was very kind and you could sense that this is a place with many regulars, and for good reason.Thank you to the wonderful people making Try Hard a great time and place to be!
Well, suffice to say, this place misses the mark in nearly every way, except the quality of coffee - which was very good, but overpriced.I am saddened the old French bistro which used to be in this property is gone, another victim of COVID perhaps, however, it's replacement has no focus. The outdoor and indoor furnishings and ambience are not welcoming or relaxing, including the tacky and dingy restrooms, plus a weird smell throughout.I understand, in theory, the appeal of a DJ, but at 8am in the morning?Really? So my wife and I had to endure blaring loud rockabilly at 8am! (I am not exaggerating about the hour) and attempt to enjoy our cappuccinos and pastries, which total costed about twenty-five dollars!Weirdly enough, even though we were the only customers in there, we felt crowded. There are simply too many contrasting concepts conflicting with each other with an uncomfortable lack of focus for the customer.
Awesome spot!! Super craft - all of them know what they’re doing. My cappuccino was delish as was the batch brew! The baristas were super friendly and helpful! Didn’t have any food but that also looked amazing. They’ve got a DJ in there too so it’s boppin! Great specialty coffee spot if you’re in Austin!
The first stop I made after landing in Austin on the way to my Airbnb; it did not disappoint! Amazing tacos and coffee, fun vibes on the inside. The music is definitely a little loud, so for those who may not like that a fair warning. But overall would recommend and come back!
I find this shop full of charisma, offering not just coffee and light bites, but a lunch time dj (!), cute back patio, and branded merch.I liked my Americano. The only thing i would suggest is to add functioning heating to the patio during the chilly days.
Loved it, funky, great vibe, super nice waitstaff, good food, nice terrace and courtyard and beautiful wall art on the fence, great coffee, attention to details, all the hallmarks of a favorite neighborhood joint!
This place is so cute! They have a super nice back patio and the manager is so friendly! The coffee is delicious and they have tasty pastries and other great food options! So glad I tried this place out, it will be my new weekend coffee spot!
