One of Austins great taco places, Torchy's helped put the Austin classic on the map.This is a great location though a bit smaller than many, more seating outdoors.Docking a star merely because I'm angry Torchy's got rid of Maine Root Sodas (one of the other reasons it was so good) and replaced it with standard Coke products ?For standard tacos (breakfast tacos or basic chicken or steak) it's a little expensive, to be fair. Rudy's down the road is about a dollar less for breakfast. But hey, they're good.
Taco's were good but this place needs to do more efforts in cleaning. We could see food leftovers on the table.
Ya so I ordered the Republican and the Trailer park trashy and very disappointed. I don't know if this is because it was an online order but it took an hour for delivery. Not too bad but I literally live right down the street the door dash driver waited for a bit before the order was ready. I have been going to Torchys since 2014 and pretty sure this was the worst order I have ever had
Sure their tacos are great, but eventually u just can't eat another taco.So try Airstream salad with chicken fajita meat. I'd say it's the best I've ever had, but I've never had anything like it. It's especially good with the avacado dressing.
The saddest part about this review is that I used to love torchys and have been eating it for the better half of my life…. I have to say that once they sold out to big corp, everything has gone downhill. The food doesn’t taste nearly as good, less portions, less quality of appearance…: but not only that, why on earth did you change the poblano ranch recipe???? My girlfriend and I used to buy it literally 32+ ounces at a time. It’s almost unbearable to eat now…
Huge Torchys eater here as in like 10 times a month lol I always get corn tortilla tacos.Today I did the same and to my surprise the corn tortillas were HOMEMADE!!Omygosh took my tacos to another level!!If I loved it before surely now it’s an OBSESSION!!!! You must try!!!
Ordering online always results in issues. ALWAYS. The staff will dismiss it if you bring these problems up. I typically order ahead at the 1431 location, which has a slightly better service for takeout. The tacos themselves are what you'd expect from torchys, greasy salty goodness.
Good food, but absolutely cannot be relieved upon to get a to-go order correct.Eat in, or check your order thoroughly.One bag of chips to cover "chips and queso", "chips and guac", and "chips and salsa".Didn't receive the salsa at all.This isn't the first time a screw up occurred, but it's was my kids birthday and this is what she wanted.
