Awesome place. You don't have to stay at the lone star to come here. They have free coffee and a good breakfast order as well as brisket nachos for dinner. The drinks are good as well. It's really relaxing in there and they had music playing every night along with happy hour everyday.
Happy hour is great and so we’re those margaritas! This place is so gorgeous and has good vibes. It was so easy to sit for hours just talking and listening to the music while sipping on our drinks!
Decent happy and great ambiance. Food was rough. The brisket sandwich is not like the picture. It was more like thin strips of jerky. The charred Brussels sprouts - more like burnt sprouts. Mac and chases was grainy and curdled. So come for atmosphere and drinks but don’t eat here.
Super friendly staff, good food at very reasonable prices. Had both breakfast and dinner here during our stay. Drinks are downright cheap so not a bad idea to have one or two before heading out for the night.Live entertainment was exceptional, great way to cap off the evening in wonderful Austin weather.
The restaurant and hotel did a lovely job accommodating our workshop group of about 35 people. I love the atmosphere with the open garage doors and fire pits. I really appreciated the more personalized service here as compared to other big name hotels and restaurants. Shout out to Chef James for making me a custom vegetarian breakfast. I really appreciated it.
Grilled cheese sandwiches were absolutely a smash hit. Drinks were great, music was crushing it, the fire pits were so damn beautiful. The whole everything was amazing.
Great drinks and ambience very strong and creative Friendly bartender, Tay Food is good as well I will be back tomorrow night
I understand the restaurant staff is short staffed but I ordered a gourmet grilled cheese which was 18 bucks. Cheese wasn't melted and it was terrible. I didn't send it back to the chef since as a restaurant manager I never do that. Never going back. Drinks were good but you are your own server. 100 bucks for 2 drinks and two entree's. Ridiculous.
Sat at a table for 20 min. No service. Nobody bothered to even stop by. We wanted to have dinner and cocktails. Went to Maggiano's across the street instead. Glad we did. It was excellent. I would recommend "The Water Trough" to train their staff so that guests feel welcome. And if you intend that people order their food and drinks at the bar themselves you might want to put up a sign saying so, as your staff does not communicate with guests. We will not return.
Place is greatBut the food need to be improve.Worst ribs and brisket I ever had!Way over price for the quality of food they serve.
