This place has a great dive bar feel, with a big outdoor space and mist fans to keep you cool. A large selection of craft beers on tap, cheap eats and good service make this a great evening stop. As a musician I particularly enjoy their Tuesday Jam Night. It's loud in there but always a wide selection of players and singers giving something different.
bartender that worked in the back outside was very rude from the minute i first opened my tab. asked for my drink in a glass mug and she had a problem and made a smart comment about it. every time me or my family would go to order a drink she would have a attitude and make ugly faces towards us. 5 minutes before leaving her and a couple people she were attending to at the time kept staring at us and made us feel uncomfortable. We closed our tabs left a tip and as we were leaving her and those people she was serving were staring at us and started saying disrespectful things towards us as we were walking out.
The atmosphere was great. Kayla was our bartender and she makes the best drinks. Not only do they have an inside but the outside patio area is larger than the inside. There is also a bar outside. I went early in the afternoon so I'm not sure about the crowd and the love music. I was told by a few regulars that is dynamic. We ordered the pickles and mushrooms and someone had the wings. The food seemed good. I didn't eat any. Seemed like a nice place to unwind.
For many years, it used to be one of the better places in town to play darts, but they don't seem to care anymore. They replaced boards with banks of scammy electronic slot machines and the 2 boards left are neglected and poorly maintained with bad lighting. They even use the area directly behind the throw line as a trashy, open storage area for their Xmas decorations along with a random pile of miscellaneous furniture. Sad. ?
If you are looking for music, booze and food for a steal then this might be the place for you. I definitely ordered a lot of beer and booze cost me so much less than expected. The crowed was friendly and fun plus the staff was great. Although you must take note that sometimes you need to remind them because of so much tasks they are doing. The best place to stay would be outside at the back where the band plays. inside there is also a billiard table and a few adult betting games. For me this place is not for young adults... But for great old souls that would enjoy the classics. Great place! keep up the very competitive prices you have on the menu and specially the drinks. Cheers!
Don’t waste your time. Do not go!There are much, much better options around town that welcome players old or new.Host is lazy and unprofessional. No sign up list and you will wait for hours to play while his friends walk in and get right up.Remember , open mic hosts get paid and YOU DON’T!!! That’s free entertainment for the venue. Without your music there is no open mic.Oh yeah, Restrooms are filthy, do not lock and are normally out of soap and paper.
This is one of the best neighborhood bars in Austin. I love the Tank. There's a great beer selection here and the bartenders are friendly. Bonus, there's a great food truck right next door.
Cailin is the best, she has amazing tropical drink expertise! Really great laid back bar with awesome karaoke, shuffle board, tons of beer on tap, and a wonderful atmosphere! Also Matt Ortiz makes some super tasty drinks!
Had a big armwrestling practice/get together at this place. Great food! The service was great! The setup is decent. All in all 5 stars! Would recommend!
Been there 3 times in the past 2 weeks! Closest thing the SoCal burritos in the area. Delicious!
