Service is like that of a dive bar. The waitresses don't clear tables after people leave and you have to walk to the bar to order a drink coz nobody will come to you or bring you the drink.

Four stars only because the bar wasn't amazing. I really love the bakery for brunch and the hotel is amazing! Easy five stars for the hotel....the bar seating area is super nice and they have live music (I actually forgot I was in Austin and not fort worth-it really feels like a fort worth kind of place). The drinks were ok and the ambiance is ok but I expected a little more out of the Driskill. It's still an awesome place to try as it stays a little quieter, I just wasn't blown away

The Driskill Bar and dining room is a great atmosphere. Our server was kind and we got our food fairly fast. The chicken caesar salads were delicious and the lettuce was very fresh. The Pork Belly tacos were nice and tender. And as we were eating, to our surprise we saw a band setting up to perform! Would go back again and recommend to everyone

Great drinks in a setting that is almost museum-like but still relaxed. The bartenders were all super helpful and knowledgeable. Went two nights in a row while I was only in town 3 nights. I didn't get a chance to try the food but I heard really good things from several people I was with.

The drinks and food were great! Service may have been a bit slow, but not enough to bother us and our server was very attentive to our needs. The live music was really nice and the musicians were skilled.

The Driskill Bar is A.M.A.Z.I.N.G! OK???We walked in and felt and joked about being on the Titanic. Because that's what it looks like. It's very classy and pretty. We had a huge party and the waitresses were amazing. They were very patient and kind. And they are also very pretty. All of them!Ideal for weddings or other big celebrations.

Had to cross the bar a few times (we stayed at Driskill). It looked very nice and I think a must visit; and was planning to spend some time there but was short on time.

Everything you would want from a historic hotel bar. It’s a beautiful, old-timey, bar that can serve you a top notch craft cocktail. Lots of seating for relaxing and enjoying company. Saw a piano so I’m assuming they have live music which is a must in Austin. Bartenders were personable. My only complaint would be the bar itself isn’t very big. I prefer sitting at the bar, and I did get a seat there this visit, but I might not next time.

Your experience at this bar will directly correlate to what you came in here expecting to do. If this is a place to meet up with friends and family who are hungry and want to eat, you may not like this place as I can't recall seeing any wait staff while here and service tended to be slow. If you are coming here on a weekend night to sit, sip really good whiskey and smoke a cigar while relaxing with your friends you will probably love this place. My brother and I were patrons at the Driskill and this is where we would frequent when deciding to relax a bit after walking around all day. The leather chairs are comfortable, the tables are gorgeous and well-kept while the statues and game heads give you a feel of being at a lodge more so than a bar. This place really makes you feel that top-shelf type of environment you'd expect from staying at the Driskill and it was most welcome when talking about plans for our stay in Texas and beyond. Heavily recommended, but make sure when you step through those doors you are prepared to slow down and relax once you find a table or spot that works for you.

A disappointing visit this time round. A badly stocked bar, hit and miss service and one girl serving was so incredibly rude to her team we actually decided to leave. Oh and you have cockroaches in your reception area that were boldly walking across the floor whilst I was on a phone call.
