Smaller than I expected. Bar staff was great! Dale Watson was very good, would definitely see him again. Dance floor is a bit small, but we made do. Overall a very good experience and would go back.
Dale Watson Monday night honky-tonk was fantastic. Drank Lone Star and Iron Wolf all night, listened to his old school outlaw set, witty jokes and lovely better half. Drop on in for that old school Austin HT vibe.
Very intimate venue with great bartenders and live music. Open since 1955 so I can only imagine the artists that have come through over the years. Five rows of high top seating with six seats per row, some comfortable booths against the right wall that can fit 4. Bar lines the left side of the venue. Full bar available, mixed drinks were well done (old fashioned, vodka cranberry, vodka soda lime). Thanks for a great night out!
Seen so much great live music here, and absolutely love the history! Definitely one of my favorite venues, and I recommend it to my guests often ?
Awesome atmosphere in the heart of Austin.
We enjoyed the entire night, great Blues music, service good and nice crowd, close parking.
Continental Club is my favorite live music spot in Austin. Why? - Because they always have amazing bands playing in the afternoon. Nothing better then a few Shiner Bocks , tunes, and then dinner.
Such a cute space. The performer we saw was a very nice older gentleman and they were a blast to watch. I didn’t like the drinks but you don’t go there for a drinking.
Although I was not able to enjoy the live music slated for Saturday night, I did enjoy the ambiance of the club with it's bluesy rock and jazz tunes in between the bands. It's a cool place to hang and socialize.
Live music was good, service not so much at first. Bartender did not know really what she was doing. Afterwards, with the waitress it got loads better. Parking is a guesswork. This place does have old charm but overall it is not one of the best places to go.
