I recently needed some quality beef tallow for a new technique for cold smoking steaks. I popped into the shop and was met by a very knowledgeable and helpful individual, Shea Dow.The staff here are very knowledgeable about the cuts and what to do with them. When you buy from Texas Beef Traders, you are getting Local Texas Beef and I can attest to the quality of the cuts.Our menu called for bone marrow appetizers which came precut (long ways so you can serve in the bone rather than medallions) and wrapped. After all nothing kills your appetite like losing a finger or two to a band saw trying to cut your own.Our next requirement was a collection of steaks according to taste. My wife and mother wanted fillets and my father and I wanted some tomahawks. All the meat here is dry aged and you can taste it in the final product. Rich reds and purples color these cuts and the quality of the source is readily apparent. No overly fatty cuts were present, and you get a great selection of sizes.If there is something you want that is more exotic just ask at the counter and they will take care of you.Prices are great, selection is on point, and quality through the roof.
Absolutely amazing quality. The quality of these cuts has revived my love for meat. Prices are very nice for what you get, which is nothing other than fantastic ?My new favorite is the Denver steaks as they are the juiciest cut of them all imo.

My husband and I were looking to restock our freezer after the power went out during the snow storm and we lost everything. We decided to get an assortment of different meats- hamburger, steaks, roasts, etc. We ordered online and the product shipped to our house (300 miles away) within the week. It came wonderfully packaged in dry ice and was still frozen solid when it arrived and I was able to put it straight into the freezer. We have since tried several different things all turning out AMAZING! We cooked up the flat iron steak for fajitas. I usually eat chicken because the meat is so tough and stringy. This was hands down the best beef fajita I have ever eaten! Can't say enough about how wonderful it is, how easy it was to buy and navigate the website, and how nice the people were. Excellent!!!!

We visited The Texas Beef Traders store curious what their store had to offer. We loved the concept of freshly frozen cuts and left with several we never thought of trying before. They were all exceptional, and being able to freeze them to use at a later date is fantastic. The method in which they seal and freeze the steaks made them fresher than anything we would have tried buying at a grocery store to save for a later date. We are definitely going back to restock.
