Pho broth is delicious, portions are huge. The char grilled meats are glazed in something like teriyaki

Tan My is located in one of the tiniest strip malls ever, so head here early otherwise parking is definitely an issue. Not a ton of tables inside, and if you're at a table configuration for a larger group, you may be asked to shift around if your food hasn't come out in order to accommodate larger parties. It's all a bit informal. If you see an empty spot, feel free to grab it. Or they'll help seat you.All soups come in two sizes: small and large. Just a heads up about the large... It's a pretty big bowl. Their soups have good flavor - the pho with the beef base and the rice noodle soups with chicken/pork/shrimp seem to have a chicken base. No mater the size, they don't skimp on portions. And all soups come with a plate of mung beans, cilantro, jalapeño, and lime wedges. Rolls are rolled right and have a delicious peanut sauce. Shrimp fried rice has a good wok fired taste and loaded with shrimp. Stir fried noodles are equally yummy. And the best is the mix of 55b and 55c - wide flat chunks of rice noodle deep fried so they look likely crispy chunks of tofu, with chicken, shrimp and beef with broccoli and a basil brown sauce. This is a must try.Come hungry and come early. They take cards.

Came a few months ago, and they let me use my own containers and took great care to wrap it securely (my tupperware lid was loose). It's the best pho I've had in Austin, reminds me of the great pho that was easy to find in Austin in the 90's. Not a surprise, as this is a family-owned business that is still run by their children and has been around for decades.

This restaurant is Absolutely Amazing. The prices for everything are very cheap for the sheer amount of food they pack into their to-go containers. I found their menu online (you can order online but it wouldn't let me for some reason) and despite the fact that I was supposed to order online the lady at the counter was very sweet and allowed me to order anyways. I knew exactly what I wanted and the order process took very little time. It took about 15 minutes and they brought it to me (I was sat at the back near the front door). The establishment was clean and felt like stepping into someone else's warm and inviting home with the super adorable pictures of kids (I'm assuming the owner's kids or pictures of themselves as kids). Everyone that worked there was super kind and welcoming and you can tell they were just really happy to have customers. I found them from a friend and they have his name memorized. They had multiple people that had walked in and they knew their names and that tells me that they appreciate their regulars and make a point of committing them to memory to ensure the customer knows they are appreciated.Overall I am extremely happy with this restaurant and will be coming back.Edit: I do suggest that they look into recyclable or compostable to-go containers though, it would be a really amazing thing to see more restaurants doing this but I know it can be expensive. ♥️ best of luck!

Food "tasted" fine but...Well everyone in my family that ate it were all sick with a stomach bug within 4 hours of eating (mother within 10 mins, myself within 2 hours, and my lady within 4 hours and she eats Vietnamese and Thai food regularly). We were visiting from out of town and won't have an occasion to NOT go there again. Cramped seating; no public distancing enforced (more of a concern xuring a pandemic); and when I politely said "excuse me" to a waitstaff with nothing in his hands as he passed by, I got a dismissive wave ?.I can't say I was impressed. The only thing that stopped me from giving 1-star is the portions are large and the egg roll was yummy.

First off, best pho in Austin after trying 4 other establishments. Pho 5/5, spring roll 1/5, steam rice platter 4/5, parking 3/5. Food portion for your money 5/5 Service 4/5, Annoyed by the dining room area time closing at 3.

The pork rice noodle soup was excellent, especially the broth. Years ago when I went with people from work, it was good but not remarkable. Wife's rice noodle soup was also excellent.

Always fresh and tasty, huge portion, great service, love this place!

Very solid. Wish there was 4.5 star option. worth a try, I like the flat noodles.

Great, delicious foods and good coffee too
