Huge taco selection, including vegan and vegetarian options! I enjoyed their cold brew coffee and also their Aguas Fresca watermelon juice, yum! Their "space cowboy" vegetarian taco was delicious, it's made with mushrooms! Perfect lunch spot!
I took a drive up to Austin and since I was there I took advantage of what I thought would be a great opportunity I went to pay Taco deli a visit.I thought well I might as well do a review since I'm here.If y'all been following me y'all know I'm passionate about my reviews. I like doing them.Upon arrival I was ignored a lot.Most of the employees were talking amongst themselves and not really giving me or any of the other guest their attention.Since I used to work at a restaurant back in the late '90s I know how things go and here they were not doing any suggestive selling. Or into their guestI had to interrupt their conversations to ask for help if I was going to eat.So let me say this the food was really really good I had black beans, I had white rice with vegetables, and I had two barbacoa tacos they were really really good I love barbacoa.The restaurant was clean it was nice decor inside and outside of the restaurant.The pictures were lively and modern very up-to-dateSo the question is would I go again? Probably so for the food because truly their food was good.I would probably talk to the manager or someone and let them know about the service if they don't read this review before that time.
Tacos are good but service here sucks. Made me take my dog out even though there were 3 dogs in the restaurant while I ate. They also beg for tips at the register as you order, before service and before you even taste the food. There is no waiters here you take your own food and pour your own drinks. I've never seen this before.
This location is not as good as others.About half my orders (if over 7-8 tacos) have been wrong. Getting a refund is painful once you get home and find out a taco wasn't correct or missing out of an order of 9.I've gone in before to pick up a dinner plate that was supposedly made right then and everything was cold.It is very disappointing as opposed to the spyglass location. People are friendly but I just want better quality service and food.***edit for taco deli rep***I don't want money back, a gift card, or our meal comped. I want to pay you full price for my order and have the food that I ordered be correct and fresh.
I often have the debate with my friends which is better, Torchy's or Tacodeli? Ten years ago this was close but now I can confidently say that Tacodeli has won. They are consistently very good. I am never disappointed when I try a new taco, the coffee is local, the hot sauce is very spicy without sacrificing flavor, and the staff are awesome. I like eating at any of their locations - something I can no longer say about Torchy's.
This place is incredible and the service is AMAZING. My boyfriend and I frequent this place and the other night they forgot to give us two of our tacos. We came in the next day to tell them and our entire meal was given to us for free. SO KIND we love them this is the best place to be.
Orderred a couple different tacos and they were all absolutely delicious. The staff there was nice and their recommendations were solid. Will definitely eat here again if I find myself in the area.
Genuinely love the fresh flour tortillas here!! Perfectly soft and fluffy and a liiiittle chewy. Prices are high but it's justified by the fact that they use super high quality ingredients. Obviously the breakfast tacos POP, mushroom and shrimp tacos are also lip lickin good
The food is always great, but tonight I was blown away at the service. I very embarrassingly had the wrong card with me and it didn’t authorize for the full amount. Without any thought or hesitation Nick and Elaine both pulled cash out of their own pockets to cover the remainder. They did it cheerfully and I just can’t believe the kindness. Salsa doña for the win!
I’m still not completely sold on breakfast tacos as a concept, but I was not disappointed by my two tacos this morning from here. Probably will try it again soon!
