On my hunt to find best taco spots in Austin, I pretty was disappointed with this place. The reviwes were great so we decided to try. We ordered a shrimp taco, El 4/20 taco, the street taco, and Beef Fajita. Tbh, they were only mediocre. The menu was small, and abit overpriced.
Taco Joint has really tasty tacos and pretty fast service. Went here for a quick and easy lunch and it did not disappoint. The street and wholly mole tacos were incredible and I would recommend them as a solid casual meal. The only thing keeping me from rating it 5 stars is simply the dark and slightly cramped interior of the restaurant. Besides that, the food is great and I would definitely recommend eating at Taco Joint!
The breakfast tacos here are where it’s at!We went for breakfast on a Saturday and there was a long line, but it went so quick. Probably got my food within 5 mins of ordering. The flavors were very rich and salsas were so good paired with it.Highly recommend the Benedicto & Steak Egg and Gouda !
I don't write many reviews, but this place was incredibly tasty. My Airbnb is in the neighborhood and I wanted a quick lunch spot after a 45-minute workout at Equinox. Taco Joint came up in the results page, and I read favorable reviews that proved to be true. I had three tacos. I could've easily eaten three more because of how good they were.
Wow, the right spot to have real mexican breakfast tacos ** done right** super great service, quick and easy. They brew a great coffee too! Nice setting and the cost is reasonable.
Been coming here for over 6 years now. Some of the best tacos in Austin. The tortillas are unmatched and the menu is diverse and caters to all! Our go-to anytime we're headed to the greenbelt or the lake and need something yummy to eat while we're on the water. Don't hesitate and eat here immediately!
Good food and price! We had cheese quesadillas, bacon and eggs tacos, potato and eggs taco and 2 types of pork tacos. The tacos were great, but I’ve had better cheese quesadillas.I appreciate their compostable cups and plates, hate to see all that plastic!
Holy guacamole!!I’m from Boston and I don’t get authentic Mexican up here that much. The Taco Joint was the perfect exclamation point to the end of a business trip.I got two chorizo, egg, and cheese tacos as well as one El Senior Crockett (tender beef with peppers & gouda). I about died and went to heaven in one sitting.Grabbing TONS of these next time I visit.
Amazing food and totally worth the price. I was so happy with it for take out even that I forgot to take a picture. I'm also full from one street taco. If you are a meat eater and looking for high nutrient density then you want to make a stop here. They use flour tortillas with onions and steak. The steak is done well and they add avacado, cilantro and cottage cheese. Ask for their sweet orange and cilantro sauce really good. I would return although the price is 4.50 per taco which is high.
I recommend getting the fried fish, steak egg and cheese, and potato egg and cheese with habanero, Avocado and chipotle sauces. Make for an excellent lunch. Tacos are always hot and fresh and a really good size so lunch here is filling and very satisfying. Would go any day for lunch.
