I’ve been going to Summer Moon daily sometimes twice a day for over a month now. I have the same quarter moon latte - hot but of late it seems like a hit or miss with my coffee. On some days it’s great and sometimes it’s just too much milk. I usually do a take away so can’t even reach out to the staff when it’s not done right which is happening often these days at the Slaughter Road location :(
Summer Moon has quickly become my FAVORITE coffee shop in Austin. I’ve tried out three of their locations and all are great! Super cute and simply amazing coffee. Also, I cannot rave enough about their moon milk. Today’s drink was recommended on Instagram: iced mint matcha moon with oat milk. Delightful!
Summermoon is the ABSOLUTE BEST! I got a 1/4 wintermoon latte yesterday via ChowNow. I ordered it in the parking lot of my dentist's office, and it was ready and waiting exactly when I walked in the door. Brewed to perfection, deliciously sweet with 7 secret ingredients. Everyone who works at this location is always so friendly. Even when I'm picking up a ChowNow order, the folks behind the counter always make sure to say hello and thank you. I could go every single day.
Great coffee this morning! the employee, who was very personable, made it clear where to stop without blocking traffic, had great drive-thru line management, took orders quickly, and helped me figure out what I wanted when I was in an undercaffeinated fog. Everyone at this location is so personable; I wish I came in this direction more often.
I can't wait until they start to expand. It's got a great unique taste. The staff is nice and they will make recommendations if you're a first timer.
Seriously, some of the best coffee and best baristas in town. Summer Moon for life!
I go there all the time and I can't say enough good things about it. The staff are superior and make the whole experience so great. I've never had anything on the menu I don't enjoy and when I want to try something new, the staff always have wonderful suggestions. They're so friendly and good at their jobs. On the days we are supposed to go, it's the first thing the three year old says in the morning. She loves going to our summer moon. Practically plans our whole day around it. And since all she ever gets is water, I think that really speaks to the quality interactions we have when we go.
It’s sad to see all these places following suit of Starbucks and charging extra for non dairy milk. Why is this? It’s not like the cows are getting paid. The milk is stolen from them. Non dairy milk could at least be the less expensive option. Something without a bunch of preservatives, fillers and ‘natural flavor’ would be nice. Personally, I feel that the barista blend califa oat milk is best.
Coffee is ok so I will give one star. Everything here is a sugar bomb. If you want a milkshake for breakfast or a two thousand calorie coffee this is a great coffee shop. Here is the challenge. Is there anything you can add that isn’t sweetened? Pour sugar on our and its good? Maybe unsweetened almond milk? Nope.
Summer Moon stands with Ukraine! This is the most amazing local spot in town. My wife and her mom, dad, sister and entire family is being shelled right now in Ukraine and Summer Moon were so nice and showed empathy to the situation going on.
