Stopped here on a quick lunch break while visiting Austin. I got the 1/2 winter moon (iced) and a wild berry vegan pop tart. Both were really delicious! The coffee was pretty sweet and I got it 1/2, so if that’s not your jam you might want to get even less moon milk. It was nutty and yummy…reminded me of the macadamia lattes I would get in Hawaii. Good place to try!

One of my top two favorite roasters in the world. No joke. If you’re not a local, GO HERE. You locals already know the drill.Oak fired coffee is something you don’t come across and you truly need to experience it. Perfectly roasted coffee, perfectly made espresso and a wonderful staff to match. And yes, they ship out of state ?

I stopped by this little spot straight from the airport after an early morning flight. I was picking up some of the oak-fired coffee for some friends; the weather was COLD. Like wind chill 19 degrees cold, so I decided to get something for myself. I am not a coffee-drinker, so I decided to get a hot chocolate w/ whipped cream. I'm pretty sure there was no whipped cream on it; I didn't open the cup to see for sure, but from the texture, that's my guess. I was a little apprehensive, as the description of the chocolate is "bittersweet" I am not much of a fan of dark chocolate or bittersweet chocolate, so...I was hesitant. Which is why I thought the whipped cream would be a helpful addition for me. I don't know what is in the moon milk but it was simply divine. The best hot chocolate I've had in probably close to 5 years. The last really memorable hot chocolate I've had was at this quaint little cafe in London. This ranks right up there with it. After leaving the Austin area, I found myself thinking I should have gone back for another hot chocolate for the road. I didn't have any intentions of getting anything to eat. But, I did spy a chocolate iced cake donut in the bakery case, which is a personal favorite of mine. I wasn't expecting much...maybe convenience store quality. And that would have been fine. After the early flight with no breakfast, I was pretty hungry though. The donut was delicious. The best of my whole trip, and I had a few too many. Atmosphere-wise, it was exactly what I was expecting from an Austin coffee shop. Eclectic. Unique.

Went here for the first time looking at all these positive reviews but my experience was not 5 star. As I entered the store it smelled like dungeons. Also the place is very dimly lit so the smell and feel of dungeon went hand in hand. The menu is little difficult to understand for new comers as it includes their in-house made sweetener/sweet milk called moon milk and they have levels of moon milk coffees. Anyways after a bit of understanding I ordered the vanilla latte and I asked them if I did not find it sweet enough would they be able to alter it and they said yes. I also mentioned I am a light coffee drinker and do not prefer strong/bitter coffee. When I received my order i took a sip And found it to be bitter and unsweet so i mentioned my problem and they were ready to alter it to my taste. He asked me to take the lid off my cup and he added two pumps of vanilla syrup and to my horror he added cold milk to my hot coffee. I was just surprised, if I wanted my coffee cold I would have ordered iced coffee and not hot. To a spectator it might look like a tiny thing which can be ignored but when i pay 6$ without tax for a small coffee i do expect the service to be worth 6$ too. I do not think I ll be going here again.

The manager or team lead for the day was awfully rude white mid aged woman wearing no mask and tone of voice was very disrespectful when I was picking up mobile order. I would never come back to this location because of their timing and also the unprofessional staff working here. When I have a name to follow up I will let y’all know it’s a Tue morning. Go to any other location but here.

Ordered three coffees on Sunday morning, via ChowNow their online partnership for order ahead service. My window for pickup was something like 30 to 40 minutes after I originally placed my order, but the team at Summer Moon was so kind! I went to the window to check in and see about how much longer, or if the app was behind or ahead of schedule, and the very kind, upbeat, hospitable woman at the window told me, "since you're here, we can get them done in 10 minutes." SO THOUGHTFULEven as she was ringing me up she was so friendly. She was polite, double checked I had everything I needed, and got me a carrying tray. I was most impressed at her helpfulness even in the midst of, probably, one of the busiest times of the week at Summer Moon, and incredibly, during a city wide boil water notice.I will absolutely be going back again and again.

I have been going to this Summermoon restaurant for over a decade and I absolutely love their drinks. That being said, I have had some serious issues over the past few weeks. One, they've raised their prices. I don't have that big a problem with it given everyone is doing that lately for supply chain and scarcity issues. But it appears as though they're trying to cost cut by using cheaper quality ingredients. I have had thousands of Winter and Summer Moons over the years, so I am very familiar with how they're supposed to taste and lately they taste watered down. If you're gonna charge more, don't also get cheap on the ingredients or you'll lose me and others permanently. Lastly, and this had been an ongoing issue over the years, the parking lot is a minefield of massive potholes. I have a large SUV and even I bottom out. Fix and maintain your parking lot, please!! UPDATE: A week after posting this review they have started work on the parking lot! Thank you! Updating to 4 stars.

Hands down The BEST iced coffee in austin!! Their moon milk that they mix in almost every coffee is a creamy blend of milk and spices and it’s unlike anything on this planet! It also comes in oat milk or coconut milk. Try the blue moon if you like lavender! ??

The place is always crowded but understandably. The hot chai tea was smooth and delicious. Not too sweet. My husband REALLY enjoyed the hot cinna”moon” coffee. He raved about it for a while.

Good coffee, I really enjoyed the berry Pop tart but they didn’t offer to heat it up or anything. Card only which sucks and makes eating at this place inaccessible to some people. The bathroom is locked up. INSIDE IS FREEZING COLD and no outlets outside , I wouldn’t go back to this location.
