Another evening post TASSP conference and decided on some good Texas BBQ, I called a buddy from Houston and he recommended this place. It was a long drive from downtown Austin to eat here. When you arrive it's a large mall area with many franchise restaurants and stores. Parking is an issue if you're driving a large SUV. You enter and wait to be seated. The dinning room is open and has a Western style all around. There were few clients and it took a while to be attended by my server. I asked her to recommended what they were known for at Switch and so I ordered the ribs, corn and jalapeño sausage. The bathrooms are located at the far end and are attractive and well kept. My server was friendly and that is were it plus ends. The ribs and sausage were warm and really not much flavor. The corn casserole was ok but overall not worth the drive and $30 bill.i gotta not ask him again for BBQ suggestions

We found this place through Trip Advisor as it was on the way to our hotel from the airport. From the minute we arrived, we had a very personable employee who was cutting up the brisket, and he gave us generous portions of their BBQ to sample before ordering. We went with the 3 Meats platter with 2 sides - hue highly recommended the bbq Brussels sprouts and the corn casserole. We added a side of Mac-n-cheese and hawg rub fries for our 5&7 year old. I asked what local brew that the recommended, and he immediately pointed me to Pinthouse’s “Electric Jellyfish,” which is local celebrity, Matthew McConaughey’s, local brewery. It was delicious! It reminded us of Chicago’s Maplewood brewery’s “Son of Juice.” The staff was extremely friendly, and you got the feeling that this was a fun place to work. Highly recommended!

Great intro to Texas BBQ! I had the brisket and pork ribs while my wife had the half chicken. Brisket and ribs were great, excellent pepper rub on the ribs. Chicken was good but not great. Sides left a little to be desired but the focus is clearly on the meat (which it should be at a BBQ joint). Fries and Potato salad were good, we didn't care for the cole slaw or mac and cheese. 2 plates and a couple beers also ran about $60 so just slightly on the pricier side of Tx BBQ as well.

Prior to our trip to Austin, I did research on BBQ places that also served turkey and chicken since my husband LOVES BBQ but I prefer the fowl friendly meats, so this place absolutely fit the bill for both of us. We arrived on a weeknight early evening, so it was not crowded at all and there was only a short line to wait in for a minute. The service was very fast and very friendly. We chose to eat inside but there is also outdoor seating. I chose the one meat (turkey) plate with two sides (mac-n-cheese and fries). He chose the two meat (ribs and brisket) plate with two sides (mac-n-cheese and brussels sprouts). Every single thing we eat was divinely delicious.

I am a KC BBQ aficionado and like most consider KC BBQ to be the best. STOP. The brisket I had in Stiles Switch was absolutely amazing and the best I have had. The brisket needed no sauce (for me at least). It was cooked to perfection, the fat was rendered perfectly, the meat had a perfect "bounce" and pulled apart with little effort. I ordered a 1/2 pound all by itself but was enough to tell me that I could have eaten POUNDS of this brisket!

Bbq perfection! There is nothing bad on this menu. The staff were super friendly and the atmosphere is laid back and inviting. We tried St Louis pork ribs, Switch sausage, Brussels, corn casserole, Cole slaw AND the burger special, all were incredible! Perfectly cooked and so flavorful and the right amount of spice ? too.

Hands down one of the best if not the best BBQ I’ve ever tried!! a maaaa zinggggg!!!!!!!!!!! No words to describe the flavors and quality of the meats. You just have to go.The man who takes the orders, has such a positive and happy energy regardless of how busy and crazy fast working environment. Be ready to wait in line, the line never seems to stop. But it’s SO WORTH IT!!! And They’re pretty quick.

Food was great Texas best BBQ. Daily specials and food is great. They have a Cuban sandwich on Thursday, that you must try?!!Taste So good!!

Brisket, pulled pork, corn casserole, and coleslaw. There's not much better way to kick off a visit to Austin. Everything was delicious. My favorite was the corn casserole. The sauces on the table were tasty toppers. And wow, what a friendly place. Another diner surprised us with a gift of bread pudding and Dulce de Leche. It was the perfect spot to meet family for a quick meal.

Mouth watering burnt ends. The brisket is like butter that melts in your mouth. Can’t. Stop. Thinking. About. It.The corn casserole is perfect as it should be. No green or red peppers in it, praise Jesus hallelujah. There was no long line when we got there on a Sunday at 11:45am, which is great bc many bbq places you wait an hour in line. Also, the staff seemed to enjoy their jobs and it adds to the vibe I want to be in.
