I came in early on a Saturday. Clean restaurant friendly staff.I ordered a slice of pizza (4 toppings) and a soda ($13.20 incl tip)Pizza was fresh from the oven, generous in size and delicious. Soda choices are Coke and Maine Root. All in all enjoyable

I’ve been going here for a couple years and the pizza is usually very good (Lakesider and house salad) but in recent months I think they have changed management because the pizzas are smaller and thinner now, with fewer toppings, and the salads don’t have the good tomatoes anymore…just doesn’t taste the same. Think they are trying to maybe skimp on ingredients to save money or something. Also used to have better weekly deals. Still tastes alright now but used to be really fantastic.

We walked around S. congress a bit and H decided she wanted pizza so we stopped at this place. We had a few questions about options and they answered our questions but didn't seem very excited about answering them. We asked if we could do half n half on our pizza and they said no. We got a medium pizza for $16, but then they charged us $20.44. I don't think tax is over 25% so they either charged us for a water cup or dips. My guess is they charged us for a drink. We got a margherita pizza and it was different than any margherita pizza we ever had. Kinda tasted like cheese pizza with some tomatoes.

I’ve gave this place several chances because it’s in my neighborhood but at the end of the day, it’s mediocre pizza. The cheese sticks had me confused: it’s just an overdone cheese pizza cut into skinny shaped slices. I ordered the Lakesider, the crust is greasy and chewy, like the bread is stale. Something about it tastes off even though presumably it’s made fresh. Your $5 frozen pizza you can get at the grocery store tastes miles better that this pizza. I had leftover pizza in my fridge that went to the trash because I couldn’t stomach eating any more of it.They have the audacity to charge nearly $30 for a single 14” mediocre pizza while being just down the street from Home Slice. It’s just a rip off. When that is all you sell, you’d think you’d take the effort to make it right.

We like this place pretty well. 8 out of 10 pizza's are pretty darn tasty and well made. We had one in the past year that was not up to par. Tough crust, scarce toppings. We have had others that were better than great! So, it just depends on who's cooking I guess! I have never had delivery with them and will avoid that as most of the complaints seem to be about bad deliveries.

One of the best pizza places in Austin! Their crust is perfectly cooked and the ingredients used on their pizza are fresh and just right

They were very good when they first opened up this location from the start. After a couple of bad experiences I stopped coming by. The pizza has just gone down hill the pizza looks like it took a beat down. Too thin always has that burnt crust, not all of us like burnt pizza especially the crust. I've never been back or thought about giving it a 2nd chance. If your looking for damn good pizza try HOME SLICE, CONAN'S, AUSTIN PIZZA. You will not be disappointed. Better than this junk of pizza.

I love the pizza at Southside, but the service is unreliable. Takeout ordered ahead is often late. Last time I arrived 5 mins early to find not only had my pizza not been started, buy there were 6 in front of me. Not the first time for something like this. If they could be more reliable I would recommend them.

Just not good pizza.. flimsy thin crust and waayyy too much cheese. The crust can’t support it. Prices are okay but don’t make much sense. It’s like they’re going for pub style pizza aesthetic without the street cred.

12/29/21 ordered online pizza and sub for $44.66 to be delivered at 2pm. Waited 40 minutes called their number to find it is disconnected!! Contacted my bank to find the charge posted to my account! I am retired so my money "counts". Filed complaint with BBB, mainly to alert others about Flying Pizza South Congress Store. Will file complaint with bank.
