Learned of this place from DDD and had it high on our list to try. Didn't realize it was inside a bowling alley until we arrived. Menu is on the wall to the left after you enter and you place your order at the window access. Tables for 4 are abundant along the rail separating the lanes from the main area of the alley. My son ordered the regular Donk ($14.80), a sandwich with every smoked meat they offer along with pickles, onions, jalapeños, slaw, queso, Fritos, and all four of their BBQ sauces. He said it was the best thing he ate during our entire trip in the area, and that includes a visit to The Salt Lick BBQ. I tried the Texas Tornado ($11.90), a wrap with brisket, chicken, twice-cooked potatoes, onions, jalapeños, and sauce. I really liked the flavors and it wasn't messy to eat, which is a plus for me. Not being a big bbq guy, it was probably my 2nd favorite thing I ate after Torchy's Tacos. My wife and daughter are both vegetarians and had planned to order the veggie wrap they saw online, but it wasn't listed on the menu so they chose to just order sides. The Twice-Cooked Potato Casserole (large - $4.25) seemed just like mashed potatoes, but very very good mashed potatoes. My wife also liked the Mustard Based Coleslaw (large - $4.25). My daughter tried the Mac N Cheese (large - $4.25), but didn't think it was anything special.Overall, very glad we tried it and I would do it again if in the area. The bowling alley definitely benefits from Slab being in their building as we then decided to bowl after eating, which wouldn't have been on our radar.

Def one of my fav BBQ spots in all of Texas. I love to come to this location so I can bowl and eat the yummy bbq! The ribs and brisket are out of this world and def get the banana pudding! 10/10

If I could leave a ZERO star review - I would! Slab used to be so good! Super friendly staff; great food; accurate orders. Not the case with the Westgate location. I picked up a to-go order today. After finding my way through the nasty plumes of cigarette smoke, I was "greeted" at the counter of Slab by a young woman who seemed annoyed that I had ordered. I mentioned that I had tried calling to confirm the new location but no one answered the phone. She rudely pointed to the phone and said "it's right there - I would have answered". Ok - I will let it go - she is young and dumb and works at a bowling alley. But, then the food. I ordered no beans on one dish and what did I have an abundance of? You guessed it, beans. I was missing two sides. The food was sub-par. Do not go to this location if you can avoid it. Austin has too many BBQ places with a great atmosphere, great service, and great food. Slab - you really should not have moved to a bowling alley and let your restaurant go to the gutter!

Had lunch here today. The pictures are a bit misleading, but not a huge deal. The place is a counter inside of the bowling alley. Plenty of tables between the counter and the bowling lanes. I had the brisket bbq nachos, and it was pretty good. I wish it were a bit spicier (spicy jalapenos or something). The banana pudding was delicious!

Hired Slab BBQ catering and had their truck pull up onsite to our backyard elopement celebration and they did not disappoint. DELICIOUS BBQ, amazing ribs, and of course top notch customer service and communication. Absolutely recommend for your next event!

My wife and I love slab, but we were extremely upset that the Burnet location decided to close 15 minutes early on a Saturday. Closing at 8pm is already a bit early for a weekend night, but shutting off the open sign at least 15 minutes early is crazy. It could have been longer, but it was off when we got there, so who knows when they did shut it down. The new phone and order system also sucks. You can't talk to anyone, it just sent us to voicemail. Even the online now shuts off early due to toast tab not taking pickup orders when we tried to put one in on our way there. You are not the only place in town that sells great bbq, guys. If you keep making it difficult to buy yours, people will just go elsewhere.

In town for a few days and found SLAB by chance. Glad we did, super good BBQ, cooked perfect and the house made sauces are amazing. Texas tornado is a great mix with a little sweet, Texas two step is a massive sandwich, ribs are literally fall off the bone, my son almost lost one as he went to bite into it.Highly recommend them.

This place specializes in nothing but bbq sandwiches, although, they do sell bbq by the pound. I recommend this place to bbq aficionados. Sandwiches are some of the best, large, Texas size manwiches. The potato salad, Mac n cheese and banana pudding are yummy.

The food was very good. Their brisket was extremely good. The restaurant is small and in a shopping structure.
