Went here for Sunday Brunch around 1pm. We had a pretty large group of 8.Parking: We paid for parking and it was very easy to find parking right behind the building $5 for an hourFood: I had the avocado toast and it wasn't bad but it wasn't great. The guacamole was decent my first time having pumpkin seeds in guacamole but the chips were freshly made and delicious.Service was super slow. Not sure if it was because where we were sitting but we had to ask out server multiple times for things and I'm pretty sure he forgot to put in a order for one of the people in our party because it never came.I'll try this place again and update the review.20% gratuity was included because of our party size.
I’m very sad that I came to this place. I am born and raised in Texas, and haven’t been back in 4 years. Living in Florida, I was excited to introduce my group to authentic Texas cuisine…this was our first stop after landing. I should have re-read the negative reviews. We ordered breakfast tacos, oatmeal, avocado toast and steak n’ eggs.Bland bland bland. All the salt and hot sauce couldn’t save this. The oatmeal was watery and far from steel cut. However, great atmosphere, friendly customer service, good drinks…so there’s that.
Ordered the smothered tots, queso Benedict, and French toast. The food was amazing- eggs were poached perfectly, the queso is incredible, and the lavender latte is sublime.
Great place to meet up! Highly recommend the salmon board!
Highlight of my trip to Austin, a more popular spot down the street was crowded. Sixth and Walker wasn't busy. Brunch was fantastic, the decor and vibe was sophisticated. We even met the chef and although the host/waiter was busy chatting some ladies up at the bar, service was fantastic. I would definitely recommend the basic breakfast fare as the eggs were perfect. If you're Austin for a good food give this place a visit.
For the price the lace is terrible. Potatoes with steak were hard, salad had leaves that weren't fresh. On the positive side, food came out fast and the ladies working there were super nice.
Live in the area and always walk by the restaurant. Great location, views but thats basically it. Stopped by finally and dinner food was pretty terrible for a Saturday (and even more considering the price).Ordered the chips and guac for appetizer and it was solid but nothing extraordinary. Could have used some more chips. For main course we ordered grilled chicken sandwiches and the salmon. Chicken sandwiches were atrocious. Brioche buns were dry, old. Ironic that there is a bakery down the street. Grilled chicken was very very tough. Only good part was the tater tots. They weren't great but far better than the sandwiches.Salmon was very dry and the quinoa had no taste. Not much to say here aside from disappointment.Probably a good spot to have a drink but there's a lot of restaurants on East 6th that serve far better food at far more reasonable prices ($$$)
