Ramen here is always delicious and beautiful! The broth is lighter than other local popular places, which I find as a positive! There is a uniqueness to the ingredients they use, which pair up perfectly. I always find seating relatively quick, prices are very reasonable and service is good. Big fan of this place.
This plaza was a great find! Many Asian restaurants to choose from. This ramen was unique and different from others I’ve had. It had good flavors and cloudy broth. Not many options to choose from on the menu. The dumplings ‘steamies’ from next door were my favorite part. The staff were so welcoming and friendly which was so refreshing id go back just for that! They accidentally put pork first then added chicken which was a plus for me! They were happy to remake it which was very nice but free extra accidents are the best! I requested a drink with jalapeños and they were happy to make me something. Lots of take out orders so locally must be a popular go to stop. Will be back maybe to try a special.
I visited Sazan Ramen on a Sunday afternoon. We were promptly greeted and were able to sit down right away. The service was very friendly and the food was tasty. I had the edamame, indomitable fries, and the spicy paitan ramen. I was originally planning to try the “steamies” or steamed dumplings, but they were sold out for the day. The edamame and fries were great! The ramen was good, but I feel like it could be improved. The menu is small, but I feel like the items they do have on their menu are all worth ordering. I like to think small menu = a lot of focus on a handful of quality dishes.Definitely worth visiting!
NEW FAVORITE RESTAURANT IN TX This comfy little eatery is the spot to go to for Ramen in Austin. The taste of their broth & the numerous add-ins available, along with the lean sliced meats make these bowls top notch! As a bonus, their staff was overly warm & friendly. The servers work as a team to assure the diners are completely satisfied. Plus, both the chef & the restaurant owner came over to our table to visit with us & get feedback about our experience. That is going the extra mile! I was impressed with every little detail here. As long as I'm in Austin, I will be back regularly. The owner also has other eateries, some here & some in the Bay Area, CA. Enjoyed chatting with him.
Beautiful place and wonderful food. Definitely will be back ?
Food was just okay but the service was excellent. I ordered the chicken wings for appetizer and the spicy ramen for my main course, and they were both okay. The broth of the ramen was very creamy. I find this place to be a bit pricey as the ramen itself has 2 thin slices of pork, and it doesn’t come with bamboo shoots like other places so you’ll have to add bamboo shoots for extra charge.
This was an amazing find. Two of my associates had recommend this place and I also smelled the amazing aroma in our backroom with their leftovers. Took a friend that has never had Ramen and she loved it. Ordered the Takiyoka... DeliciousThe Chicken Wings... Crispy and tender! She had the spicy Ramen and she enjoyed it, I ordered the Ramen with Black Garlic Oil and OMG... The depth of the flavor was beyond tastiness. The staff is super friendly and very knowledgeable. Can't wait to go back again! Great Date Night or a Sunday afternoon with some friends and food that touches your inner Ramen Soul!!
Very unique vegan ramen in a beautiful, cozy, hip location. A large fried chunk of vegetable kakiage sits atop a creamy broth swirling around green kale noodles. The only downside was the end of the bowl, very happy our waiter suggested taking the topping off before it turned soggy the second time we ordered. I would give them 5 stars on having the perfect noise level alone - they could teach a thing or two to other Austin restaurants!
Sazan Ramen is amazing! We are ramen lovers, and this place took the top spot! We started off with some Soboro Don, which was exactly what I wanted, and some cold jasmine tea. Then, after some amazing suggestions from our bar tender, which we will revisit shortly, we ordered the Ma-yu Black Ramen and a Spicy Paitan Ramen. The simplicity in the dish was outstanding, and the broth shined through becoming the true star of both bowels. To top it off, our bartender made us some outstanding Shun-Sational Old Fashions. The house-made "Plum Wine Syrup" coupled with the smokiness is absolutely divine!!!!We walked in 40 minutes to close and sat at the bar, not only were we given amazing service by everyone there, but not once were we rushed to finish or close out.Now back to the bartender I mentioned.Liam is an amazing bartender! While he may only be the 3rd best bartender in Austin (wink wink), he's #1 in our hearts! He made the whole experience fantastic, great food suggestions and killer drinks! Friendly, knowledgeable, charismatic and a great man to carry on the most entertaining conversations with. You rock Liam!!!We have our new favorite ATX Ramen spot and will be back for amazing food, drinks and service!
Great ramen and fantastic whiskey list! Didn’t get a chance to indulge in their craft cocktails but we enjoyed watching the bartenders craft some concoctions. If you like Japanese whiskey this is the place to go for you in Austin… they get allocation of very tough to find Japanese whiskeys
