Awesome Greek food. Great flavors
I had the lamb plate and it was some of the best Greek food I’ve ever had. The pita bread was fresh, hot and slightly crispy around the edges and chewy on the inside. The lamb was cooked to perfection. I made fajita-like roll ups and dipped in the white sauce. To die for! This is a must try place if you enjoy Greek food. Yum! The beignets were fine, as well as the dolmas. But the magic sauce at this place for me was in the bread, meat and sauce. Neat area. Must try it!
Santorini Cafe on Lamar is the place to go in Austin for Greek food. Great flavors, great patio and outdoor space, all around great time! It has so many 5-star reviews and I have been meaning to come back for a while now. We started off the evening with Saganiki, a flaming cheese served with pita and a bottle of red Apelia- a Greek wine. For the main course, we got a chicken plate and veggie gyro with some crispy falafel inside and delicious pita. To end the extravagant evening, we had to get the baklava and try the Greek beignets served with honey and cinnamon. Thanks Santorini for a wonderful time!
Amazing food, friendly staff. Family owned and local. The food is fresh and very authentic.I definitely recommend this place.
Great Greek food. Just go and experience it.I went for lunch with some coworkers and food was delicious.Takes a while to get the food though (10-15 minutes) but it’s worth the wait.Grab a seat outside and catch up on everything non digital while the food is being prepared. We had some courtesy free desert with our order.I’d definitely stop here again.
Always great service & food!!
Fairly authentic atmosphere and food.
Great authentic food, service, and price. I highly recommend this place if you're in the neighborhood. I loved the chicken shawarama and fried cod plate. They even brought out some fresh homemade honey/cinnamon bread for us to try.
The taste of everything was correct. The gyro was flavorful and still moist. The flatbread held up and the salad was ok. I liked the sauces a lot too. I kept dipping the gyro into the hummus and the tzatziki. The fifth star is probably for when I go there, because I think the salad will be way better and complement the meat correctly.
We stopped here for lunch on a couples trip and the food was absolutely amazing. We ordered gyros and fries and I have to say it was the best gyro I've ever had. The owner is incredibly nice and brought us a dessert after the meal. I would definitely eat here again!
