Best burger that I have had in a long time. And even though I'm lactose intolerant I just had to a root beer float (haven't had one since I was a kid). Even though I couldn't finish it all it was worth the minor discomfort & brought back such fond memories. Fast & friendly service (used the walk up option instead of the drive thru). Will definitely be coming back.

The butterscotch shake is magnificent.

Not sure about this place. Sign says Burgers and Frozen Custard. No Frozen Custard here. Just soft serve which is of very cheap quality. Ordered a burger and the bun was grilled to a crisp....Not good at all. Not even worth a try IMHO. Maybe they should sell this place to an owner that cares.

Just amazing! The drive through line was long but it was worth the wait. The fries and burgers were amazing. They honestly reminded me of what Whataburger used to taste like. I will be back every time I am in Austin.

This gal will wait for a chili cheese burger and wait she did ??.The drive thru was packed out @9pm and the service seemed to be a family working their gears!Pricing was wonderful and a throwback to "back in the day" we all got chili cheese burgers and root beer floats for 4 we came out right around $40.Definitely did not miss the fries my guy!

Delicious burgers, no gimmicks, just straight up cheeseburgers, fries, milkshakes, and sodas. very simple menu. I love ordering it through the window, it reminds me of childhood in the 70s growing up, riding my bicycle and ordering at a Burger stand through a window.

Got to love the oldest burger joint in Austin. A great burger for a great price at one if the few remaining peices of old Austin when it really was a great place to live....If you decide to dine at one of the covered tables in back? Keep your eyes on your burger and fries. The grackles have no fear and will snatch food from your table..its one of many things that I love at [email protected]

One of my favorite still around local burger joints. I have too many memories as a child eating here. What used to be called the brown bag special is now just the Sandy special, available on Thursday and Saturday, it's a great deal. The burgers are on par with other Texas local burgers but the ice cream and custard is truly worth a visit. I would always recommend to try it if you're visiting or never have been.

We were first timers, excited given it's long history and long lunch lines, but after 30 minutes wait, we found the burger no better than a Whopper, and the ice cream not real custard. Fries were great, but overall very disappointed.

One of the best burgers in town. Absolutely love the hamburgers here. They taste like a real burger with all the fresh veggies...so good ? don't change a thing.
