Very good food and staff.. I do believe that I was given a military discount, too. When we went to the riverwalk in San Antonio the next day, our cousin wanted to take us to the Saltgrass Steakhouse there, so I'm thinking they are probably all very good.
Really a good experience. I had the porterhouse. Real good tender steak. Thank you guys for the great time. You must try the Texas tea!
My last review seems to have disappeared but I don't mind writing another given I was going to add a pic of a crazy drink anyway. As per usual, great service, friendly bartender (Meagan), and even a manager (Tate)was helping out--everyone was simply chipper and bouncy...you can tellpeople enjoy the work environment. I had a steak cooked right w/ asparagus so no complaints, but my update was for the oddest drink--on the dessert menu no less--called a PB&B that had some peanut-butter-infused whiskey with banana-infused bourbon poured into a martini glass laced w/ chocolate and caramel. I know that sounds lime a strange brew, but the banana did not overpower and the overall experience was like an espresso martini. I'd do it again. If banana isn't your thing, consider subbing kaluha or malibu for the banana whiskey and you'd have 2 other great drinks, w/ the later emmulating a German Chocolate Cake. At any rate, for the class of restaurant and foid Saltgrass fits in to, they're at the top of their game. 5 Stars.
In my 16 years in US I never had the opportunity for tasting a real Texas steak .. was in this place when my friends Lourdes and Ben gave this great gift and let me tell you was amazing and divine!! I can’t wait for comeback to Austin and try again! Place wonderful, customer services super ! Highly recommend!

Well the service was bad she forgot my Mac n cheese and took too long to come back when she’d say she’d come back but we went to the one in Bee cave Texas that was excellent so I guess it just depends on your workers ?♀️idk
I'm a visitor to Austin, and I had a truly wonderful dinner here. My waiter, Brady, was friendly and helpful. The salad was fresh, cool and crisp, and came in a jiffy! My steak was perfectly cooked, tastey, juicy and filling. All the people there were having a good time. And I got quite a bit of value for my dollar! If I have a chance before I head home, I'll go back for another dinner! It's a great family restaurant. I noticed someone said "Ruth's Chris it is not.: Well, I just want to say good. RC is a great place to eat when someone else is paying and all you care about is scoring points. Saltgrass is for real people.
This place is definitely a contender against Texas Roadhouse! My NY strip was soooo good!! I didn't use steak sauce at all! Definitely coming back! Nathan was a great server!! ?????
I went on a Saturday.....(last minute) My family waited 45-1hr... My table was given away... Young lady (Host) made sure we had a table in 5mins.... It was unbelievable pack! I was not ? pleased with the food and service was ok! I will Not Go Back!!
First time at a Saltgrass. Delicious. Reasonable. Steaks were great. We got a nice seat near the fireplace. Enjoyable evening.Server was very good but seemed pre-occupied. We let her know everything was great and left a nice tip.
