French. Not France, but French. That's the first word that comes to mind when walking in this place. This bakery is very nice with some beautiful looking pastries. I know it's just a little bakery in East Austin, but it's sort of comes across as being high class which is a little surprising for the area it's in. They're able to pull it off with the decor, down to the gold utensils and even the accents are all French. Not a language accent, but art and decor accents. We enjoyed our visit here and although the pastries are a little pricey, they're delicious. I wish the service was a little friendlier, but the place is nice and clean. Again this place is all things French.

Update, March 2022: improvements => actual silverware, no flies.Suggestion: place a drinking water dispenser to allow patrons to refill on it as needed. Its inconvenient to wait for the cashier to be available to satisfy the thirst after eating sugar.Macaroons are lucking the flavor they suppose to be. Its hard to miss a passion fruit flavor, somehow they managed.Initial impression:Consistent quality, but inconsistent hours. Had to come twice because someone decide to stay close an hour longer without bothering to make any announcement. Not even a sign on the door. Boo.Every time I visited (total of 4), there were fruit flies roaming over the counter. Not cool.Pastry is tasteful and pretty. Service is friendly.

Dana was the sweetest! Thank you for the amazing customer service. The environment was amazing and the pastries were so beautiful.

This French pastry shop should be on your list of places to try. The croissants are amazing. I often stop by to pick up desserts to bring to dinner parties. The service is super friendly and they make custom cakes to order.

Gorgeous pastries and desserts in a beautiful chic setting. Full of flavor and precision. I consider myself a dessert and pastry critic and these were beautifully prepared and flavorful too. You can tell their hearts went into each delicious item. The special occasion cakes looked amazing. My favorite was the vanilla Bourbon cream eclair, my daughter like the Raspberry macaron better.

I had my first high tea experience here and I was a bit disappointed. The customer service was great and the decor was super cute. Right when we were seated though, there were flies flying around, but my friend and I just tried to ignore it. The pastries were presented nicely on the tower, but some of the pastries were stale and hard. The sandwiches were yummy. Towards the end of our experience, I was considering bringing the leftover pastries home until I saw three flies just sitting on top of the pastries. I told the employee but she just apologized and didn’t really do anything about it. I was honestly disappointed considering the price for the high tea experience. Otherwise, the vibe was great and I hope the bakery takes this review in consideration.

I went to Rocheli in hope of finding some wonderful French pastries. The decor was beautiful and the staff were nice the big problem with the place is the quality of the pastries. I got the almond croissant and I couldn’t find any almond filling which is the one of the main ingredient. The only thing they had was some sliced almonds on the top and it was it. I think they need to check their recipe. Also the so called Paris Brest was also lacking the filling as shown on the picture. It was 2 choux pastry stuck together with a little bit of praline filling. I would have to say they both look good from the outside but when you start biting into them it lacks fillings. When they are charging so much you expect quality. At least I was smart enough to not buy the Mille feuille which looked very dry. French Pastries are all about cream, butter and sugar and they all look missing of some of those ingredients Oh I forgot to mention I was born and raised in France so I know what is French pastries all about.

My favorite was ham and cheese ❤️ good place to take pictures??

Mediocre cake. As much as I love to support small business I have to be honest. The cakes were dry and flavorless. Not sure what happened, but I told the staff and nobody did anything. Customer service was blah. I am very disappointed with the quality for a bakery that put a lot of effort in decoration to make it upscale. Focus on the quality of your products first.

I visited Rocheli last Wednesday to see if they could execute a rush order of a French cake and pastries which I could pick up Friday. Not only did they accept the challenge but the outcome was superb and the guests were thrilled. Rocheli is no doubt the best French pastry shop in Austin and vies with the best in Texas. The quality of the products is matched by the beauty of the shop.
