Paid 3.50 dlls for chatsu pork and that’s what I got. Plate was messy and a lots of onions like who need so many onions. I asked for extra ramen and I got the very minimum. It really has been one the most unpleasant experiences with Ramen Tatsuya. The one in South Lamar is way better.
Parking was tough on a Sunday afternoon, but the wait inside was fast! We ordered before the servers sat us and food was all out in under 10 minutes (2 ramens, gyoza, and 2 drinks)! Great atmosphere and you can tell the staff enjoy working there.
First time at any Ramen Tatsu-ya location. I’ve been anticipating trying this for quite sometime and it did not disappoint. There was a short line out the door, but it moved fairly quickly. Seating is available indoors or outside in a make-shift patio they built on top of parking spots. There are servers that come out offering a menu to look at and to ask if you’d like to have a drink while waiting on the line. They usher you inside and direct you to where you can have a seat once you order at the counter and pay. I was with my partner so we sat across from one another on what they consider the community tables. It was possible for others to sit next to us. The tables had a station with napkins, chopsticks, and soup spoons. I ordered one of their vegan items called the “Nu-Skool”, which consisted of almond milk tonkotsu, shroom abura, spinach, atsuage tofu, corn, kikurage, and scallions. I requested a side of shichimi togarashi. My partner ordered “The OG”, which is pork bone broth, chashu pork, ajitama egg, woodear mushroom, scallion, and sesame seeds. She did an add on of a “corn bomb”, which is a dollop of butter on top with honey included in the ramen. They also had a water station for free glasses of water, self-serve. My vegan ramen was delicious and filling. The ambience, music, and vibe was also relaxing despite being a crowded place. I would absolutely return! One con I do have about the location, however, is the plaza itself. The parking lot is extremely uneven and there are multiple restaurants there and other establishments making it an extremely busy lot, mostly full. It would be great to see this place in a standalone location or different spot altogether.
Average ramen, ordered spicy broth and it wasn’t spicy. I’m not a drinker, and drink options are geared towards those that do. Not a bad place to go to as it’s quick turnaround from ordering to the food being on the table.
Ordered the mi so hot ramen and the karaage and they were very good. The mi so hot’s broth was very rich in flavor and the egg that comes with it was so very well marinated. Food also came out super fast, service was okay. My cousin ordered the ol skool ramen and she said it was good.
The wait can be a bit long but totally worth it! And once you order your food comes out super fast. Love the me-so hot ramen. The drinks are also good and refreshing.
I’m from Japan and I have high expectations for ramen but this place was absolutely delicious!!! I got the spicy one. All the toppings, soup, portion, really good!! I’m excited to try again!!
Only complaint is that the music is too loud, which kind of sucked since we were having to borderline yell to have a conversation. Not sure why the volume is that loud at a restaurant? Not to mention the music doesn't match the cuisine, trap house music was blaring. But the food was really good and full of flavor! Very delish
Absolutely amazing. I got the me so spicy and a side of spicy edamame. Don't miss this place if you're in the neighborhood!
There’s tons of mixed reviews on this place. This was our first time here and it blew my mind!! They NEED to do a better job letting folks know that you need a reservation at all three places or you run the risk of being turned away. We tried our first night in town at around 8 at the 6th st location and they weren’t taking any more tables. MAKE A RESERVATION!!The ramen was insane! Well seasoned broth and fresh perfect noodles. The Japanese fried chicken was incredible as well. I love the mobile ordering and tab closing as well!
