Project Pollo used to be my favorite restaurant. Recently they changed their menu and I have hated the flavorless new items. I used to get the Chipotle chicken wrap which is no longer available. I absolutely hate their new cheese recipe too. I have visited 4 locations and all the food is disgusting since the change. I am sad to say that I used to go 3 times a week but will no longer be endorsing them. They are too expensive and the food is not good.
Not a full time vegan (or Veggie) but I love trying the new options. This place had good reviews so we gave it a try.For the most part it was all excellent. Breakfast chicken wrap (breakfast is only on weekends) was excellent. As was the Patty melt. One of us had the Backyard Burger and the bacon was disappointing. The patty itself was also a little odd. Not bad but not a highlight. Also tried the Tots which are Tetris piece shaped. Got some of their garlic aeoli to go with them which was excellent.So an overall good experience. We'll definitely be back but probably try the other Chikn options. ?
Chikn was super tasty and phenomenal that its vegan! I appreciate the economic inclusivity, like the menu items titled: pay what you can.The other imitation meats were okay, but the chikn was the best. I would come back again.Order of photos: menus 4x, Brunch Burrito, Backyard burger, and Patty melt.
We were so hungry we forgot to take pictures! The food was PHENOMENAL and so tasty! We got the backyard burger and the buffalo chicken sandwich with French fries. I’ve been vegan for 3 months now and Project Pollo satisfied my cravings from my past diet without causing any harm to animals. I will definitely be returning regularly. The service was great, a few workers stopped by the table and asked if we needed anything. The person who took our order also gave my boyfriend and I free milkshakes for our birthdays. Awesome place, check it out!!
Literally the best vegan fast food I’ve ever had.
Great vegan place, food was excellent. Their menu has a bigger variety of items than I thought. From vegan chicken and salads to impossible burgers and vegan smoothies.Outdoor and indoor seating. Good location in North Austin.Definitely recommend this place.
Excellent menu, great service. The food is super tasty. I love, love, love that their mission is to provide affordable vegan food to everyone. It's not just a slogan for them but they allow you to pay what you can afford. That's pretty fantastic. Highly recommended!
My family and I ate here for the first time last night and we were not disappointed! We did online order pickup and our food was ready super fast. Workers were helpful and friendly. The food was really good! The Louisiana “chicken” sandwich was great along with the loaded fries. This is the best vegan chicken I’ve tried. ?
A safe place to take my kid who is highly allergic to milk. Very clean and the oatmilk shakes are all I think about when I want an excuse to share something sweet with my kid. My favorite so far is the Buffalo Mac n Cheese. Outdoor seating is perfect for high energy kids or adults who want to dance to the banging Playlist ?. Taking omni friends here is easy ?. My hubs couldn't tell it wasn't a real bird. It is a bit pricey but no more than anything else these days I guess.
WOWWWW — The Nashville hot was the best chicken sandwich I’ve had in my life. Perfection! My non vegan husband kept raising his eyebrows and making exclamations of wonder over his bacon double burger. (Which was extra funny after he had groaned only minutes earlier when I told him the place we had just walked into was 100% vegan.) And the loaded fries had a kick to them. They, like the chicken sandwich and the burger, strangely disappeared completely from the table soon after being served. If we had spent less time moaning in wonderment over the flavors, we could have grabbed a picture to show you. Only the deliciously light prickly pear lemonade and the red velvet shake made it out the door with us when we left. Sign me up for more because I am going to dream about this chicken sandwich and my joy that all packaging and utensils are compostable. Project Pollo is what I need in my life to say, “See? Life after the pandemic is even better than before!”
