Our family came in on a Tuesday around 2:30pm and place was empty!? Which is odd considering how delicious these burgers are! A burger is a burger kinda hard to mess up or really make someone rave, yet somehow Phil's Icehouse has me craving for more, between the bun and the really juicy patty of beef it came together so perfectly! The menu has everything for everyone with lots of delicious options.
Oh the buns here are amazing. Really the whole burger is, but the buns are the best. I do have to recommend that you eat these burgers on location though. They aren't quite as good after pickup or delivery. The corn dogs are fire too.
Not great. They advertise state fair foot long corn dogs. I received 2 frozen “state fair” corn dogs. Could have gone home and heated up some out of my freezer! When we said something they responded with “we ran out, these are just as good”!!!! Will not go back!!!! Even better, I asked when ordering and cashier started “yes they are real state fair corn dogs, super good”!!! Just horrible service to me!!!!
Sodas tasted terrible which is strange for Maine root sodas. Gravy tasted and smelled like soap. Chicken tenders tasted like chicken tenders from a Mexican restaurant. Pretty squished seating. Food altogether was alright and edible. I’ve had worse. Just wasn’t worth the money or the 20+ minutes it took whenever the place was pretty empty. They had a lot of doordash deliveries so I kinda understand. Can’t blame people that don’t make enough though. Pay them more and they might be better? ??♂️
Always solid, always delicious. Great little spot with consistently great burgers for(still) a reasonable price.
I can honestly say that this place is my new favorite for one of the BEST burgers and frings I've ever had! If you like Tophat, Sandies, Jims and Fuddruckers - this place will blow your taste buds away! A friend of mine told me about Phil's 2 months ago. I've since been there at least once or twice a week since. Taken the whole family on a couple of occasions and we all agree that it's our new place to go for burgers & frings.
Phil’s Ice House has been around for many years because of the great burgers. I hadn’t been for a good bit but was glad I had another burger there. It got 4 stars because the restaurant got really smoky inside. I don’t think they burned any of the burgers just that it has poor ventilation. My mushroom burger was good. I’ll just get it to go next time.
Lots of choices. Had the Crestview today which was a chili cheeseburger. Amazing.
Great burger joint with local draft beer selection. Includes an outside play area for children and pets. Bonus, right next to a local ice cream shop.
